Youve stated that you know its a aftercooler. So why would it be before the thermodynamic process?

The term "intercooler" was originally used by ATI. When Vortech marketed their own years later, ATI threatened a lawsuit. I believe the term "intercooler" is copyrighted and/or trademarked. That's when Vortech renamed theirs to an "aftercooler". In essence, they do the same job -- cool the intake charge.

Stocroc,

I have noticed only a slightly higher engine coolant temp here in Michigan, approx, 10 degrees F.

Willie has done extensive testing with his system in 100+ degrees F Arizona weather and has had to do some modifications to improve the air flow.

Anesthes,

As everyone has said in previous posts, aftercoolers and intercoolers are the same thing, just different names, and both have been around for along time, before ATI and Vortech even became company's.

There is two styles of intercoolers/aftercoolers, you have liquid- to-air, or air-to-air. but they both perform the same function, cooling the intake air charge.
