um....
First of all, the RX-7 is equipped with a rotary engine, and therefore the turbo setup is going to be completely different than that of one for a V8. If you would want to go through the hassle of fabricating all of your plumbing for the unit, I'm sure it will give you power, but it will be quite difficult to get it to work.

He didnt ask if the exhaust would fit up. He asked if the turbo would work.
Hey do you think a turbo and header from a grand national would work on my lawn mower???? Since you seem so smart, I bet you could tell me the answer.
It kind of depends on how you want to apply it. What compression is your engine? How much boost do you plan to run? Keep in mind, the stock turbo off the rx7 was designed for a 1.3 ltr engine running about 9psi. I honestly think the volume of air/pressure from a v8 might be too much for that turbo. I'm not by any means saying it wouldn't make more power, but if you're going to go through all the trouble of fabricating the manifolds and piping, I would use a better turbo like a T3 or modified T3/T4 hybrid. Get the model of the rx7 turbo and search the rx7 turbo upgrade websites. You might be able to upgrade the turbo itself (like the T3/T4 hybrid) to handle higher boost in witch case it might be worthwhile on your 350.

I'm not really sure about the size of the turbo, but I bet it would strangle that engine. You'd probably make full boost at a really low rpm, and have really high exhaust backpressure once the revs start climbing.
I was in a speed shop a couple weeks ago where a guy was rebuilding a TT RX7. He had the turbos pulled and they are quite small, like under 1.5" diameter compressor inlet. I don't think that would be enough for a small block, even 2 I think would be too small. It'd sure spool quick though!

it would prolly be too small
at least the ones from the 87-91 turbos
you might be able to get away with using the setup from a TT though that would be a nightmare to hook it up

I would not use anything smaller that a T3 for a twin setup. As far as a single, I can't give a recomendation on as I just don't know.
using the twin setup, no way, that would be a plumbing nightmare and with the limited room under the hood of a F-body, I wouldn't even consider this as an option. For a single unit, unless you want just a little bit of boost I would not try it either. Mazda turbos are known for cracking at the exhaust flange under heat and stress. Garret turbo's are about the easiest I have found to work with, and many different manufactuers and retailers carry the parts support for them.

well where would i be able to get a t3/4 turbo?,are these the ones off the thunderbirds?i was only askin bout the rx7 turbos cause i ran acrross one on ebay,it was around 100 dollars,i dont know to much bout this turbo stuff either, how do you turn up and down the boost?the junk around my house here has a wrecked thunderbird there,he just got it in to,i didnt really think off it,how much would you pay for one of them, and also you have been talking bout the plumbing on these, how would i do that?could a regular muffler shop make the pipes to go to the turbo?thanks alot for all your help.
thunderbirds came with superchargers. I recommend you search google.com to find out what cars came stock with the T3, then U can order the hybrid kit to make it a T3/T4 and you should be good. The only car I know offhand that comes with these turbos stock are the 2000+ VW 1.8t's .. hard to find .. but I'm sure you can find others. One thing man, this isn't gonna be cheap.

The 85-86 (I think) Five speed turbocoupes came with the T3's with the more desirable .63 AR exhaust housing. The Auto turbos from those years use a smaller AR exhaust housing. The 87-88's used IHI turbos and aren't as desirable as the T3's. After that they became supercoupes, and were supercharged.

And the T3 turbos from the appropriate Turbo Coupes are not expensive. If you give more than $100 each, you were robbed. The T3/T4 hybrid from Turbonetics is about $750, but it is new, and has a built in waste gate.
