Anybody with a Procharger

I have a few questions.

1. My main pulley that the SC belt hooks up to wobbles a little. Did any of you guys have a problem with this?

2. Did you have to do any shimming to get the belt to stay in place?

3. Does ATI's installation directions suck or what?

I don't have all the bugs worked out of it yet, but I'm just thrilled it's finally in! :lala:

ks91z28,

Welcome to the power adder world.

I'm assuming that your talking about the crank pulley, there should be as close to zero "wobble" that you can achieve. Make sure all your surfaces are clean and flat and that your spacer is seated properly between the blower crank pulley and the OEM crank pulley.

Yes, i has to put a .030" washer between the bracket and the spacer on the long top bolt going into the engine block. This also worked for Willie.

<----you do this alot when trying to understand them...

be more specific: crank, blower, or tensioner pulley?

yes, also make sure that you have the CORRECT LENGTH. I sent back 3 belts before i had the right one from ATI

3. Does ATI's installation directions suck or what?

ATI's instructions are as useless as **** on a bull

Thanks for the help guys. It turns out that they didn't machine down the aluminum spacer far enough to fit in the center groove on the crank pulley. I threw it on a lathe and turned it down a little and now it fits great. The wobble is gone.

Where in the heck can you get Goodyear Gatorbacks from? I've called every parts store in town and nobody carries them or if they do, they can't get them in the size I need.

Ok, I finally found a place about 30 min. away that can get them in a size just a little smaller than my current Gates belt. The Gates belt is 66 inches long and the Goodyear Gatorback belt they can get is 8/10ths of an inch smaller. He said it would be $30.88 (before tax).
