Tapping oil pan for Vortech

My friend wanted me to post this question..

How difficult is it to tap the oil pan for Vortech's supercharging kits? Could any old novice do it?

I've never done it but my friend has one on his 99 Blazer that's been dropped 4"/6". The mechanic who did it used a certain type of drill bit made for jobs like that. I think it mentions it in the directions but either way it's a bit that when cutting sends the material back out so none winds up in the oil pan. At first he was a bit leary of drilling into the pan but with that bit he said it was easy.

follow the instructions about where to put the hole then use a sharp PUNCH to make and open up the hole then grease a TAP thread the hole and flush the oil.
