Anti Rice Forum

I think an anti-rice forum would be cool. Like posting pics of rice and talking about them. Sure some people may get upset, but the majority of people feel the way I do.

I volunteer as the moderator for it, if it would happen. I post everyday, so it's not like I'm not around to keep the peace.

I agree, This forum would be nice. I think we all need to look past what happened before and focus on whats going on now. If you need another moderator i also volunteer.

I think it would be cool too but within reason. I think some people tend to get a little carried away with the rice thing but it's always fun to comment on TRUE rice. Some people need to be reminded that rice does not apply to third gen owners who decide to stray from the stock look. I think this will be the biggest problem as far as a forum goes.

sound like a good Idea to me!

It would give the moderators some place to move posts when it put in the wrong place. And if anyone is offended by rice calling then they can just not go to that forum.

How about...

How about calling the Forum...
WRONG!
I think that keeps it simple and allows all of us to laugh a little at the wrong things people do.

A classic!

Just thought I would show a good example of a "Wrong".
How wrong can you get? Even double parking in a handicapped zone! The wooden spoiler and cardboard ground effects are a nice touch to this otherwise normal looking Civic. Note the dual Krylon racing stripes that run the length of the car too. This person has a natural knack for doing everything the wrong way.

And lets not forget...

And let's not forget the wonderful Accorv!
Please deposit barf bags in their appropriate places!
Or is it the new Honda kit for the C5?

I think that would be a good idea, plus I dont think that there would be many arguements because there would be only one side. Anti-rice.

I would offer to moderate it too, if they needed someone.

And....

LOL I have a lot of them... This is another classic.
The person that did this should have had a truck, but thought his Jetta could handle it...
What was this guy thinking?
The materials were loaded at Home Depot. Their store manager said they had the customer sign a waiver! Both back tires are trashed. The back shocks were driven up through the floorboard. In the back seat were 10 bags, 80 lbs. each of concrete. On the roof are many 2X4s, 4X4s and sheets of OSB. They estimated the load weight at 3000 lbs. The car is a VW Jetta with FL plates and the guy said he was headed for Annapolis.

Looks like alot of positive remarks here. If the board is kept in check it should work.

I actually think it might be good to have. But I can pretty much guarantee it won't be put up.

I really don't think it would be a good idea. IMO the "rice" issue needs to be elimated from the boards and should not be supported by allowing a place to post pics of what one person may thing is "rice". I have seen new members post pics of their car and if it's not up to someones standards they yell "RICE" and then the post turns into a feud on if it's rice or not, then getting completely off topic from what the one than originally posted. So I have no doubt that someone is going to post pics of someone elses Thirdgen in the "Rice" forum and then someone is going to get pissed and we don't need that. (Question)Well what if we only post Imports and etc.? (Answer) Not Thirgen related.

Yep, but as moderator I would be around all the time, and lock posts such as 3rd gens potentially leading to arguments, just a thought for the decision makers.

Yup I made it back. I've been pretty busy between working, packing, and selling our house. We found us a place and I got a job in Naples so we will be leaving here around the 28th of this month. The pic in my sig was taken at Kentucky Dam on the Tennesse River last year here in Ky.

If any of you have ever been to Supercars.net.....it is a constant flame war on domestic drivers....mainly chevy and some ford. I can't go on that site for 5 minutes without becoming enraged. They say that our cars...'have no technology", "handle like a bus", "are cheap", "are P.O.S.es etc. What I'm trying to say is that I think the "***** Cooker" (GOOD NAME!!!) is a good idea, as long as people dont start bashing hondas and acuras in general....making fun of them because their slow for the most part, or because their exausts sound like **** but instead make fun of the people who take the RICE concept to the extreme. If it started getting out of hand....close it.

I agree... I think a rice board would be bad. It would get out of control in 30 minutes. If people wanna look and laugh at rice, theres plenty of sites on the net making fun of rice. Rice is used too much on the boards, the last thing we need is an entire forum dedicated to it. Good luck though

LOL that last pic that was posted is awesome. I Love the dual mudflaps on each side!

as lame as rice can be, i have to agree with the few here. There's no need for an entire forum dedicated to it, although Mark would be a cool moderator. The thing is rice rockets are fun to drive, they're just too trendy and people have no taste when the build them. Maybe I'll get flamed but dammit. I like all kinds of cars. I just like thirdgens the best.

I like bagged trucks too.
