Hey jer, the stroker is in my car right now, And DAVENPORT IS NOT A MONEY GRAB, they prolly do the best engine work in all of canada and i am very happy with them, the are very well priced and do very clean work, they specialize in F body's and Do great work for me, Mike had bought some stuff from them and they were very good to him. I am the one that was looking for a change, i was tired of naturally asperated, and i will make enought money on the jeep to finish this project and my car will run 700HP if i put a 10psi pull on the blower, but i am only going to run it at 5psi. I dont mean to rant but i like davenport they have been very fair to me in every aspect, and i here nothing but good things about them. On another note, HOw come u ask if the stroker is in my car ?

Travis there is just one problem. How do u expect a stock unibody to handle 500-700HP? You need at the very least SFC's. If it was me I would be looking into a 8 point cage and some cross chassis bracing. Good to hear your gonna build a rearend to take some abuse but remember there are only 2 Stamped rubber bushing control arms holding that rear to the car. And lets not forget that 3 1/8 inch steel drive shaft with light duty U joints. Dont get me wrong Its a cool idea, get em to strip the engine bay clean and start from there. Just make sure to get some drive shaft saftey loops and SFC's. Also a 1/2 inch stud upgrade for the rear wheels wouldnt hurt.
P.S fix the hood latches and hinges while your at it

Obviously I don't know all the details, but if you went to him saying 'build me a new motor' than thats different.
from my limited experiance with Shannon (i think thats his name), while being a real nice guy and all, he has a way of convincing you to get the expensive stuff. Maybe that aint a fair description, but I watched my friend get talked into some expensive upgrades after those long talks.
700hp sounds awesome, I definatly gotta see that beast next summer!! :hail:
good luck
give us a shopping list of what davenport plans to do for ya

Hey,that pool hall sounds fun, lets go!I cant wait to see Travis kick our buts!Do you guys want to make it for 7pm then? That works for me.For those of us from the east side-you take McKnight Blvd straight over to Edmonton Trail, then turn right and its on the corner.
Look at these boards. There off the hook with Posts and views. Its a wonder why we havnt got our own board here on thirdgen.org, Allthough we have our own board on www.fbodymessageboard.com that will do just fine...

bandwidth, to them, is worth more than our collective knowlege on Fbodies I guess
I'm touched, how about you guys.
See you all on fbodymessageboard.com.
I'm from Abbotsford, British Columbia and I own an '86 Z28 that's in the middle of some major modifications including a brand new carbed 350, 3.73 rear, and subframes. Over the rest of the winter I'm hoping to start restitching the interior, and then, in the summer, it's off to the paint booth for some fresh red paint!! (She REALLY needs it - body's straight as an arrow, but she's red and gold and fading fast)
There doesn't seem to be too many BCers on here as of yet and Fbodymessageboard.com doesn't even have a "BC" section. Seems kind of strange if you ask me - it would seem that given the weather out here, there would be more of us thirdgenners kicking around - then again, the import 'scene' is getting pretty popular around here these days..

Yeah, I'll have to head down to Mission once this thing is finally done - I'm hoping this weekend will be it. I'm thinking that I should be able to break 14's with this setup, but, this being my first time at the track, you never know...
Mission is a crazy town - all of the cars are loud: either they're junk heaps with rusted out mufflers or sweeta55 musclecars funded with drug money
