Car sounds sweet Ryan. When I left the meet tonight I swung a U-turn at the lights and got it sideways a little---then a cop drove the other way! ....and he kept going---whew

careful mike, I had my car towed away for doing that, the cop said I was drunk even though I was cold sober!
he refused to breathalize me or do a sobriety test
and when I reported him, I was told he was within his duties.
even if your haven't been drinking, the cop can say "i smelled his breath" and there no argueing that!

Hopefully we will get our own forum soon. It would definately help when it comes to sharing info, getting together, and finding parts suppliers close to us.
Allright everyone from GEN 3. Im gonna call mopac and see if we can get some deals. This time it will be Exhaust ground purchase. Does anyone want or need any exhaust parts.

Just adding my name to the western canada regional board.
Just curious ... what did the moderators way when you asked them to create a western Canada board?
Mark.

I e-mail every moderator on the board and both Brad and Dirk. I have only gotten one reply and it didnt seem like they wanted us to have our own board. I dont know why that is, There are lots of people with thirdgens in this area. Its weird seeing how some of the regional boards barly get used. Im sure if we had our own board it would get used alot.

I think you are right Iroc_Craig. There seems to be alot of Western Canucks on here and they do a fair bit of posting. Nowhere near the post of Mark though.

It's all in how you ask. I would not see any reason NOT to create a temporary regional board. If after 1-3 months it has little use, then turf it.
Your on the right track to see how many folks you can get on the list.
There is a Canadian only F-body forum, perhaps you have seen it. It has an east and west canadian forum.

The cops must have been blind not to see me but they saw a hot chick in a T/A and wanted her phone number!
We were lucky on 50th for sure! Cops would have spun out if they tried to keep up
I am pretty lucky...but I'd better watch it, luck doesn't last forever.

Trav-you are so full of it.Ok,nuff said bout that.Guess I will have to pull my head out of my *** and accept the fact that winter is here.Where is El-Nino.I had the beans scared out of me this morning with those skinny bycicle tires of mine so here's the plan boys.............gettin studded winter tires put on Saturday morning. For now though, guess my new ride will be the F-150 4x4.Guess I will have to swallow my pride and choke on it cause Ford trucks(even though its brand new)make me gag.Well guess my life depends on the truck now.I should be thankfull we own one, cause drivin out there this morning was murder on my nerves.

GP finally got snow on sunday, all day long, the snow was melting on the street during the day, but by evening it began to freeze. the whole town was literally a skating rink. My old 4x4 blazer wouldn't even go anywhere unless I was in 4wd.
Everyone was sliding around learning how to winter drive again.
we got about 2cm on the ground now.
good question TA, where's el nino dangit

Hows everyone doing. How did u all enjoy the taste of winter today. I dont like it I hate the winter weather its freezing. How is everyone getting around, the roads are slick as ****. The Silverado sucks on the ice. Today when I was coming out of a parking lot after getting some gas, I was going to head out of the parking lot and I saw a do not enter sign, So I slammed on the braked and the wheels all locked up so I slid into a curb and smashed down the do not enter sign. I thought it was pretty funny. Some chick was watching the whole thing too. Oh well no damage to the truck. HAHA

NOW,NOW Ryan. This is mother hen here.I dont need any of my friends gettin' hurt. This is why your insurance is so high you silly teenagers
. Just think when you get to be my age insurance costs are reflective of your driving abstract.Clean record=lower premiums.Take for example,For my TA I only pay 800 bucks per year.Thats for the full meal deal(exclusion of glass).Believe it or not,I DO have a clean record!Take it real easy ok

Finally got the rim pics on the computer!
It took me about a week, working a few hours everyday after work to get the 4 rims done, way more work than I was anticipating hehe
I haven't clear coated them yet, I think I can get them to shine better if I get myself a power tool.
I used eagle 1 aluminum polish. seems to work pretty good!
I tested out my DR's on the cold pavement and they worked not to bad considering the weather. Can't wait to try them at the track!!

just the tires that came with the rims. they will be good for a year still
225/50/16 pacemarks on the front
and 255/50/16 drag radials on the back
the DR's are rough when aired up! car felt like a lumberwagon until I downed the psi to 20 from 36.

Christine....you remind me of a Simpsons episode
where Homer drivers areound with tire chains on with a piano on the roof.
You give a whole new meaning to Tearing up the roads
I think I'm gonna be real brave, (or is it stupid? Maybe you have a great idea?) and try to get by on the current tires, not buying narrower snow ones.

NICE jer the rims are looking a lot better. Id be careful with those drag radials, When u take them out to the track make sure u take it easy, ur stock rear end and transmission will not be able to handle the grip that the drag radials will put to the pavment. Id recomend that u beef up the drivetrain quite a bit before taking them to the track if u havnt done so yet.
and Mike u will be fine with the tires u have on now. When I took my car out last winter for a rip it wasnt all that bad. I found that the tires didnt look up all that much with the 245/50/16s. U will be allright just take it easy. Also if u havnt done so yet put a sand bag or 2 in the back hatch area if its not full with a subbox or anything. That should help alot, When my mom had her camaro she said it help alot with a sand bag in the back.

GEE Mike,I dont know about those tires of yours but they did handle a little weird on dry pavement that night.AH maybe I'm just a stupid woman driver on a crusade to scare the hell out of Calgary drivers.Put it this way,I transformed my TA into a 4x4!I know that one thing is for sure though, the car responds like my hubby's truck in icy situations now.The tires may not suit the looks of my FAB-U-LOUS TA but man do they respond!!!!!!!!
Would anyone know why I always have to refresh the webpage on thirdgen to get the latest posts and forums. On other sites I its always flowin good but everytime I use thirdgen.org I have to refresh.

Hey Ryan,I'm soooooo happy with the recent snowfall that my face is gonna crack from smiling!!!!The TA has never handled better.Took it out this afternoon for a spin and it did just that-SPIN! Although,I was purposely makin it spin and I cannot believe how straight it stayed.A total pleasure!
