I have an idea

I am against the non-tech issue like a lot of others the more I think of it, its just not the way this site is oriented. But I do have a similiar idea, why dont we have a limited/thirdgen non-tech board, like a board for pic whoring, polls, photoshop, illustrator, etc, I think it would really clean up the appearance board and prolly some of the regional boards too. But keep it so the non-tech is still thirdgen related so that it doesnt end up with the drama of NE3G

Not even with a strict mod, who only lets 3rd gen stuff get by, and like maybe would immediately delete ANYTHING that didnt have to do with 3rd gens.

What about if it was only accessible to people over a certain post count? That'd filter out the newbies for sure.

Not too high a post count though, or Mark A. Shields won't have anyone to talk to

Then there would be a rash amount of unneeded post whoreing just to get up to the certian post count you need to access the board.

that would be a good idea but why not rephrase what you stated. more like a Thirdgen pictorial apperance/Brainstorming board. and that was a good idea to put a post ban on the newbies. if dirk would need someone willing to donate their time just to filter out flamers and people that jsut like to show anti-thirdgens i am positive there are many members here aside from myself tha tcheck these boards everyday he can get. its a long shot dude, but im sure if you rephrase it in such a way that it makes everything organized you may have a better chance.

I never thought of that

I think the majority of us have accepted the fact that a non-tech board of any kind appearing here would be as likely as a 'stang beating a third gen, but it's nice to throw a few ideas around, simply because a daft idea can evolve into a useful and prosperous one. I too am against a plain and simple non-tech board.

Of course, if everyone just suggested we get a non-tech board, the server would be cluttered and everyone would be pissed with each other. But if nobody suggested detonating flammable liquid in an iron tube, we'd still all be riding horses. Suggestions and feedback are what make this board what it is, and in that respect it shouldn't change at all.

Just my 2 pence (or 3 cents exchange)

Si

It'll never happen. Already had one, too many problems from it. I'm not unhappy to have seen it go, really.
