Why no Off Topic forum?

Why is there no forum on this board for topics other than third gen cars? Off topic forums are great for getting to know everybody else and are kind of fun. I use boards like this for RC planes, RC cars, mountain biking, etc. All of them have an Off Topic forum. We need one here. Is there a reason why there isn't one? Matt

you should really read this thread:

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=152066

i think it will answer all your questions. alot of people ask about a non-tech or off-topic board, but this is a tech site and the administrators want to keep it that way. hopefully, this helps clearify the situation.

Will never have a lounge board again, this is a great tech site and I love it that way. On many other boards every forum is ruined because everyone brings the flaming from the lounge into the tech forums and ruins the whole site. LOL, at least once a week we get this question asked Go here, http://allfbody.com/phpBB2/index.php they have a lounge, and i'm on there.

or try www.3rdgen.org

this topic comes up fairly often, and inwo also gave a link to a thread concerning the details as to why tgo will never have another off-topic forum.

the closest you'll get to one would be your regional boards, but we're pretty tight-fisted as well. if you have any other questions, just ask us!

There's something in the water

I wish everyone could have been here toward the end of the off-topic that was here. Then everyone would be crying to shut it down

Take it from the guys who were here people, it was not pretty. You do NOT want an off-topic board here.

And I suppose 9 of those minutes were spent making sure the word "moderator" under your name was nice and straight!

josh, you actually had me thinking that someone created that board.

that was funny, and i got quite a good laugh out of it.

:sillylol:

i went to the main board page early this morning, and was looking for the link to the non-tech board
