This guy, who clearly had a legit reason to be asking questions here, got his topic closed.......now wtf. someone could have helped him. i realive it was not a third gen but still....do we have to be that strict and **** about things?

this reminds me of the nerdy kids at school who got to be *hall monitors* in elementry school. these kids were the worst. they got made fun of and picked on all their lives and when they were given authority of any sort.....guess who they acted like.

i can name off MAYBE 5 people even worth asking help from here, the rest of the moderators are here not for actual help, just to police things.....thats bs. i think moderators should have extensive knowledge of tird gen's and have to pass some sort of assesment test, or prove their knowledge in some sort of way.

just my 2 cents.

 

moderators are here to police things not help, any help they provide is "extra" and provided more as any member would and not part of their moderator duities.

edit: now that i followed the link i think you'd have to be smoking crack to think that thread has any reason to belong open or on this site.

 

what does knowledge of the subject have to do with moderation. I don't have to know thirdgens well to know that Caddy is not related to one.

 

the fuel injection system was obviously related, and its a gm car.

im just saying, moderators TEND to give the most advice, you know this.

i, and i alone feel that if they are here to moderate and help, they need to act a little less arrogant and flat out rude. this is an issue that needs to be addressed.

 

It may be Fuel Injection but its not a 3rd Gen. This board is Called THRID GEN not GM.

There are other sites like www.camaroz28.com that are better for that.

Talk about looking like an idiot. Krazzycowgirl's comment stated that it was not THRIDGEN related, never said anything about not being Camaro related. I hate when people don't bother to fully read what they're posting, or bother to comprehend what someone else has posted in reply. This board is for Thridgen tech issues, not people looking to BS about cars outside of this specific brand.

As far as the mods go, yeah sometimes they could be a little more "friendly", but then again, they do have to deal with some people who have very short attention spans, and very thin skin.

And last but not least, who are you to complain about mod's not being nice when you're making cracks about the ringing the dinner bell!

NO I am NOT dumb. This site is Strickly for 3rd Gen FBODY. Where www.Camaroz28.com is really easy on other GM cars. There are always talk about other Gm Makes & Models on that forum.

I’ve been here for a while now, seen a few crashes, changes, and yes the infamous non-tech time. There is a reason. Do you know it? No. Do you own the site? No. Do you have any right to know any of the background sh*t? No.

Now, if the poster were putting the motor into a thirdgen, then maybe it might have been moved. Otherwise he could start something like http://www.diy-efi.org/. He could PM Grumpy for some info.

I’m pretty sure these guys have been called a lot worse in their lives at one point or another. I know I’ve ragged on a few of the guys and I’m told I'm pretty damn good at it. Defiantly did better than ‘nerd’.

You don’t get it. If I posted about a TPI in a Cobra replica, it wouldn’t get locked. Other people with THIRDGENS could learn something with regard to a TPI transplant out of my thread. If I asked about putting in a Northstar engine into a Fiero, it would get LOCKED!!!

No she didn't, but that answer does nothing for you. The site Krazzycowgirl posted is very much how this board used to be wayy back when, but not as laid back, overall, as Mac’s site, Nethirdgen.org.

Well first of all, that post should have been locked as it was. RBob is a good Mod but could have went about it a little nicer. No one is nice all the time, it happens, and it's the first time I've ever read something of his that registered any attitude.

Now second, yes you have been a Member longer than he thinks, and that's because you've been Banned or Suspended before and keep coming back, as if we didn't know. And of course, you've been Banned because of doing something against the rules and then making posts and publicly complaining about it, or the Mods. Here is another post that you are insulting people in and it won't be tolerated, especially from you. You're gonna be put On Probation and this is your absolute last chance at being a Member of TGO, even though you should have been Banned right when you made that new UserName.
