Will TGO chat ever be back?

The title pretty much takes care of everything. I was just wondering if it will ever be back. Thanks

Its supposed to be.

May or may not be IRC.

Plans are still being worked out.

It will NOT be back as an IRC server. I was planning on installing a flash-based chat client but then a bunch of people started complaining that it wouldn't be IRC and that no one used it anyway.

I personally wouldnt care if it was IRC or flash. I used it regularly and so did some other regular members and mods. It was a good place to go with a quick question or just hang out and BS. Hope it comes back.

... and that was the general consensus. Most people either didn't care about it or didn't even know it was there.

The reason most people didn't use it was due to that horrible java browser based garbage that you'd get from the link on the front page. It wouldn't even work in older versions of Firefox. It also was on the never updated front page so it did not get as widely used as it should have been. Even with that horrible java interface, if it was linked to at the top of the page like the bar is there now there would be dozens of people in there all the time.

Get with the times, man! Version 1.5.0.1 is out and it fixes a bunch of little problems and a huge exploit.

version 1.5 rocks. Of course firefox rocks in general compared to ****ty IE.

I never went in the chat because it was java based. I hate that crap. If you used an IRC based chat client I'd be in there 24/7.

The chat room should come back. It would also give people a place to discuss non-tech away from the boards, which is where it should stay.
