hay there . Just wondered if this was a normal problem here or not. The page loads "with errors on it" . What happens is this ....

I try to hit the quick reply button and it doesn't do anything . So I try and do the advanced reply, but it says I have to hit the quick reply button first . But then i am back to square one .

and on this page as I type this , I click on the emotions and get the same reults aswell.

thanx all

Which thread are you having this issue with? When you go to the thead, try the Post Reply button instead. Seems to work OK.

It does appear that some things are 'broken' at the moment. I noticed Jason made some changes, so I assume he is working on something.

yeah the post reply button seems to work for me know . Just not the quick reply button. I had to use the quote button , then delete the text , just to post.

thanx for the info though

Dan

What browser are you using? Also, I just made this post with the quick reply and it seemed to go through fine.

Jason, it appeared as if something was broke. Quick Reply didn't work for me as well. Editing didn't appear to work either, I came across a few posts that mentioned not being able to edit as well.

Also, the drop down menus for the toolbar were broken as well.

Everything worked fine this morning, then after I seen you online, it quit. I figured you may have been working on something, or disabled something, due to some issues we discussed the other day.

As of now, everything appears back to normal.

It appears that vBulletin may have some JavaScript coding issues to work out. I compacted some of the files this site uses frequently with w3compiler and 4 of the JS scripts came out with errors due to missing ";" and "}" characters. I've replaced the files with errors with the originals and everything seems to be working fine.

I'd still like to know what browser you guys were using though as I wasn't having any problems with Firefox 1.5.0.4, even with the "broken" files.

I was using IE 6.0 when the problems appeared. Still using IE 6.0 and things work fine right now. Normally, I use FireFox.

It could be the way that IE 6 handles errors on a page. Anyhoo, like I said, I put back the original versions of those files so it shouldn't happen again.
