"Power Adders" forum
"Power Adders" forum
Could someone please rename that forum to "Forced Induction" or similar?
Every 5 minutes or so it seems a newbie is posting questions about which air filter/exhaust/pulleys will "add power" to his car, which obviously has nothing to do with superchargers/turbochargers/nitrous.
Just a friendly suggestion, thanks for reading.

It's been OK like that for years. If they can't read the description we'll just ban.
Okay, go ahead and get started.

(Though this one did turn into a turbo thread)

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/powe...hp-torque.html
And those are only from the current first page.
The forum description doesn't really limit it to the three it mentions, it simply makes it sound like those are only a few ideas for adding power. I could understand that point if the description more clearly stated what the forum was for, but some of the newbies (and maybe even some oldies) aparently can't tell the difference.
BTW, my laptop has ran OK like this for years, but that doesn't mean it doesn't need upgraded now.
I'm not trying to be rude, just trying to help you understand my points.

I agree. Not only is it annoying to have those posts. But, when searching thru that forum, it ruins your search results also. Calling the the forced induction forum, would hopefully limit those posts that are not fit for that forum.

Nitrous is a form of forced induction, you're forcing it into the path of induction, right?
At any rate, I imagine that's why they chose "Power Adder" to begin with, but I don't think the other would hurt as long as a simple, clear explaination follows. "Forced Induction & Nitrous" would probably work just as well anyway.

Semantics... That is beside the point. As I said; either title would work, just simply explain it in the description. It may not slow down those posts if the description only was changed, but then at least we'd have a valid reason to yell at people.

Hey look, another one!

Or maybe "Blowers, Turbos & Nitrous" or something like that...

hmm, I never frequent this board, but that's a good idea.
Forced induction & nitrous. I like that.
