Several days ago, I attched a pic to one of my replies to thread in TPI. This morning, I attempted to attached the same pic to another thread in TPI, however, I got a response saying that I had attched it to the first thread, and the system prevented me from attaching to the thread this morning, Whats going on here, why can I not attached the same pic to two different threads????

 

Been that way for about 2 years. Wasn't a change any of us here made (former ownership), but it does have some sense behind the option. Any time you upload an attachment, while it is referenced in that particular thread, it's obviously stored in either a database or file system on the server (in our case a file system). On your own computer, you wouldn't have 2+ copies of the same image, right?

The feature is to prevent the database or filesystem from being larger than is really necessary.

I'll look into the options available.
