Post editor suggestions

I'm not a fan of WYSIWYG editors. There should be an option to switch between the two, and it would be cooler to have an option for a user's default mode of editor in their control panel. It's a pain when posting pictures. It would be easier to edit code instead of seeing a huge picture there. Even a 640x? thumb is pretty intrusive in this editor.

The editor is also very narrow. I'm measuring 757 pixels wide. I'm guessing that's designed for 800 pixels wide. I have a 1,440 pixel wide monitor, which by today's standards is still pretty small. We're now entering the era of "retina displays" and even laptop displays are commonly not going to be under 2,560 pixels wide. Honestly, anyone below 1,280 should be left in the dust. The only thing they would have to do is scroll horizontally. Big deal, when the rest of us with modern resolutions have to put up with the web still catering to their 800 and 1,024. Even my resolution is pretty ancient. I got my monitor more than 5 years ago and I'm simply clinging to it to wait out the new 3,840 stuff to become cheaper and smaller.

It would be nice to have the content entry area be vertically resizable.

Re: Post editor suggestions

You're not forced to using WYSIWYG. In the UserCP is an option to change that.

Go to Message Editor Interface option.

Also, a good browser already allows you to resize the content box as shown in the attachment. Simply drag the box, as shown by the arrow, to resize it.
