finally back in a thirdgen
1989 Iroc Z28 5.7 4 wheel discs posi
88k Car is pretty untouched and original except for the after market radio and horrible MOMO steering wheel.
plan to paint it and put all the stock decals and emblems back on.
Starting fixing the little things dash face plate screws flasher and new headlights. Will be replacing the steering wheel with a stock one and im still contemplating weather ill be adding a stock radio or a retro sound radio. 373s and maybe a bigger converter and also in the plans.

Nice looking ride, I would have baught a blue one, but couldn't pass on my black IROC.

Um your car doesn't look like an '87. Unless the PO changed out the wheels and the accessory drive. '87 still had multiple belts not a serpentine system and the wheels should be the single line IROCs.

If you're keeping the TPI, then 3.73:1 is too much gear, stop at 3.42:1

If it's an 87 it's got the wrong interior in it.
Looks more like an 88 with the wheels, decal placement, rocker emblem & other cues.

That's what i was thinking too. If I remember correctly wasn't the interior in the 87's specific to that year only? Like I said in my previous post the wheels and engine accessories are 88+ for sure.

Been looking for the bumper emblem all over found one while digging through the car buried in the center console just cleaned it up and put it on using some emblem adhesive, replaced the weatherstripping. Found the short which was causing my trunk release and dome light not to work. Disconnected the lighter and its fine now. Fixed the horn too.
