Is this a real L69 86 Z28

Do you guys think this is a real L69 86 Z28? The wrong lower air cleaner but it looks like it had the other air intake screwed in at one time and it appears to have an electric fan.

Thoughts?

Only The VIN Will Verify It.

If it is, it'd be the 1st one I've seen, ('86 Z28). Check the VIN. Either it's a unicorn or the seller is full of it.

I'm guessing it's an LG4 with a sticker.

That detail also is what peaked my interest. I asked the owner for the vin we will see what he sends over.

Sure looks like it! He does state in the add the car was repainted. Could have done a color change.

Also, where is the washer fluid bottle?

Re: Is this a real L69 86 Z28

It's not an L69.
He posted the VIN on Facebook when he posted the ad and I told him it looked like an LG4.
1G1FP87H6GL121956
He posted it up without hesitation so I think he was just misinformed about what he had.

Thanks, it would have been cool if it was an L69. I would have gone to look at it.

Re: Is this a real L69 86 Z28

I am beginning to think the 86 L69 car is about a big of a myth as the "fifty 1986 L98 cars"

Still have yet to see pictures of an 86 L69 with a correct G code vin.

One of the US models has just recently shown up in another thread - does not appear to be a myth.

Nope, didn't know that and with the better picture what appeared to be screw holes are actually the rivets holding on the core tag.

Re: Is this a real L69 86 Z28

The more you know. When I dual snorkeled my 83 Camaro, the holes were there and lined up. The deeper I dig into more ambitious projects with thirdgens, the more pre-drilled pilot holes and other provisions show up. It's kinda nice when you don't have to guess where something should go.

The guy never sent me the VIN. Probably saw this thread and knew he was caught lying.

The Odds On Seeing One Is Pretty Rare Since Only 74 Were Built.

Would also need to be a B4Z IROCZ if '86 L69, correct?

Its sure purdy and has them fancy fresh from the parts counter HO stickers!
I don't see a HO sticker on the rear.
A dead giveaway is the higher RPM tach redline...but no pic.
