How to test ignition coil?
We picked up some spare parts the previous owner of our bird found in his garage a bit back. Two of which are ignition coils. I obviously have no need to hang onto non working parts.
At one point and time I had a printout of what terminals to check and what the readings should be but can't seem to find it anywhere. Is there write up somewhere on what terminals to check with a volt meter to find out if these are good or just trash?

Not sure what you mean but it looks like that one with the 4 terminals and the one plug wire terminal. Does test one get tested against the magnet since that's what it's pointing to? I'll have to stick paper clips in the terminals because my lead points are too fat to fit lol.

Test 1 looks like to ground or the case of the coil.
There is another thread in the tbi section where a member states test two is incorrect. You might want to search that or just pulg in the coil on your car and test it that way.
