After having the car sit for a year and a half, I finally got the fuel pump changed and took her out for a stroll!
Felt great after all this time.
But with a new house and a baby on the way, time is limited lol
Chromes got sold, and bought both the 88-90 17x9 Irocs from Hawks last year, and the 85-87 17x9 versions this year.
I like both so much I had to have both sets LOL
Crazy how the years go by.
Last year I put in a GForce T5.
This year, I decided to give the car a little TLC, and change a few things. Nothing major. But it was nice to spend some time with it.
Interior changes:
4th gen CD player with phone jack.
Export/Canadian 240 kph speedometer.
New steering wheel and horn button.
New shifter ball and boot.
Refurbished front grey seatbelt receivers (I had black ones from a scrapyard from many years ago).
Redid rear seatbelt receiver buttons.
Seat track covers. (mine were missing or cracked).
Hatch trim screws.
Hatch struts.
Door handle trim kits.
Under hood changes:
Hood struts.
Oil pressure safety switch for my electric external fuel pump (using stock components/relay, and wiring it through rear seats like factory) - should have done this a long time ago.
Radiator support/hood latch cover.
Hood insulation.
Exterior:
New Phoenix IROC decals and stripes.
Hood louvers.
Front grill.
Taillight seal. (one was missing and allowing exhaust fumes in).
Front nose emblem.
Front park/turn lamps.
Engine/exhaust changes:
Switched out my Flowmaster American Thunder catback for a Force II I had in storage. Decided to go for the hidden tailpipe look.
Replaced the cat with a Magnaflow. Connected to my custom Flowmaster Ypipe with no issue.
Decided to put on centerbolt covers to further along the zz3 350 ho conversion look.
The RHS heads are drilled for centerbolt and perimeter. But the perimeter bosses get in the way of the centerbolt inner rail/lip. A little grinding on the valve covers took care of that.

Looks good!
I had not thought about the bosses for the perimeter bolts interfering with the rail on a center bolt cover. Something to watch out for. Thanks for mentioning it.
All buttoned up and ready for winter storage.
I really do think this will be the car in its final form.....I honestly don't know what else to tinker on with it.....
Maintain and drive I guess.
