That's part it is only in Convertible ASC 89'.

I saw a 1989 with a regular GTA CHMSL bracketed into place a couple years back. Nobody was reproducing the parts. Don't know if anyone is now, either.

There was a 1989 convertible being parted out, but I think the "good parts" were already picked-over.

Have you asked Hawks to reproduce this?

Don't forget the black trim around the 3rd brake light housing. (yes my car has a lot of patina, It's as purchased)

 

Don't get ripped off only ....... 12v Halogen G4 bulbs ....

I know that some year ASC built ragtops they used a FORD unit.
Thats prob. the part number the OP was asking about.
The light was under the spoiler in the pics i see posted elsewhere in these forums.

Some used the Ford part (1987 cars, perhaps?) but not the 1989. 1989 used a specific part, as pictured. OP is long gone, so who knows if they ever found their housing.

I have a 1989 Firebird Formula 350 ASC Convertible. I need the Third Brake Light Housing and likely after removing, I will need a new rubber gasket that goes around the bottom. Not sure what condition is underneath and whether I can retain my existing light assembly until I pull it apart.
From the research I have already performed, it looks like a Ford part that ASC installed here. So, it looks the same part that the 1987 - 1989 Trans Am ASC Convertibles and the 1989 Formula and Firebird Base model Convertibles received. Other F-body years and model combinations (e.g., Camaros) appear to be a different set-up. See pics below... (and yes -- I know the screw is missing out of the left side) If you have one of these cars and have researched this... please correct me on this information if I am wrong or add additional models that are compatible.

Anyone know a good resource for this part? Thank you in advance!

 

Any thoughts on this Third Brake Light housing posting and source for parts? I'm thinking junk yard but these cars are few and far between.
Have you guys ever had to replace these and if so, where did you end up sourcing the parts from?
