going to pick up a 87 iroc

this weekend im picking up a 87 irocz for 200 bucks. Now for the bad part. its a lg4 auto. it has been wrecked it is missing the whole front of the car bumper wise is gone. it was drove into a ditch or something. but now for the good its says 1565 for miles but I doubt that lol. ill try and get pics tomarrow of it. Anything else I should look for on this car. Aint really much good for the car its missing the rims hood. but it is a t top car. Thinking of putting it back to original maybe upgrading to a 5.7 tpi if it aint that hard to do.

I cant say without seeing it,but it sounds like a lot of work and very expensive too, hence the $200 sale price.
Might just be a parts car.

Re: going to pick up a 87 iroc

Just something to think about. I traded for one of my 87 Irocs so basically I own the car for $900. Running and driving car. After paint and 100 little things I could have bought a car for $5000 and I would have saved 3 years and lots of money and aggravation. I thought ill have $3000 more into it and it will be beautiful and done. I put a lot more and it's still not finished and it's not as nice as I expected to be. Buy one done or at least painted if you can.

Kinda weird. The decal is in the right spot for 87 but it has the 88-92 door moldings. Were late 87 cars wide moldings like that?

Looks like the fender is not bent up from the pic and the door/body lines look good, looks a lot better.I would look close at the door/body lines on the drivers side and the underside of the front end, maybe they just popped something and messed up the bumper and hood.
