That color is awesome! Stunning car. Just wish it was not a crap fire injection. But otherwise a truly stunning car.

CFI isn't that bad. Once you get it to run right, you're good to go. Plus you get the cool functional air flaps!

The color mismatch between the front nose piece and the rest of the body is all I can see.

Just noticed that.. wonder if it’s the picture.. would have to see it in person in the sunlight to really tell for sure..

Most thirdgens I end up seeing have nose or front spoiler repaints that really stick out when the sun hits them in the shade they look fine..

That's not a repaint. The urethane bumper covers weren't painted on the car, so the shade could be slightly off due to being from a different lot number. My bumper cover is way off.

I'd love to have that car. My first Third Gen was an 83 LU5.

To me, the mismatch says this is an original paint car. Most thirdgens I've seen have the plastic bits fading at a different rate or in a different manner than the steel portions of the cars. Colors like silver accentuate this less favorably than others, so it's all I see...

A lot wear on the window/hatch switches for 5k miles, and what's with the thick layer of scum on all the underhood painted surfaces?

I wonder if future restorers will demand that certain color bumper covers be painted to reproduce this effect, in order to keep these cars CORRECT?

It wouldn't surprise me at all. I've heard of restorers reproducing runs on Corvettes under the doors....

Wow, really?

If you’re restoring a car I’d think you’d go for flawless instead of recreating factory flaws.. An all original car Ian one thing, but to me that’s counterfitting..
