No pics of the underside - I can only imagine what it looks like under there - for me, that is what dictates if I am going
to buy a car or pass.....a nice clean underside with no undercoating is everything for me - IMO, no way this is a 36K mile
car just based on the fact of who's selling it and the asking price

There is a mileage discrepancy on it's carfax. I agree with Biz, this dealer would be asking double on a 36K mile car.

Does it matter? If the car is flawless, and has 136k miles on it, is it less of a 'nice car' than the same flawless car with 36k miles? What if the 36k mile car is trashed, and the 136k mile car is flawless, does the mileage matter then? Buy the car, not the odometer.

Here ya go Chazman......this car is exceptionally clean! Not an IROC, but so so so nice..
It's been for sale for quite a while, so the price can probably be cut a bit

Sure. But if I paid a 36K price for a 136K car, I'd be pissed.

Actually it is not a bad looking car... What is up with the screws in the spoiler?

Not a bad car and the price isn’t horrible.. Seats look like 36k, rugs look good.. Paint looks god awful in the video on Gateway website
Like okfoz said.. what??
Fix fix the damn horn button!
I thought the ad said 5 speed manual??!!
That is a rusty looking brake master cylinder..
Brake light out bro.. Easy fix..
It could be 36k.. My Tahoe has 140k but looks identical inside and out to when it had 40k miles.. meanwhile I have detailed 30k mile Tahoes from families that have 3-4 kids that are trashed inside and out. Even after being detailed they have bike scrapes dents all over, rips stains and wear all over the interior with broken buttons, trim, etc..
I bet underneath would tell the story though.. I have a suspicion that car is orange underneath.. might be 36k though..
This is definitely a consignment car I’d say..

Re: '88 IROC 'vert. 36K miles or 136K?
That's an aftermarket master cylinder. Had the same one in my Formula when I got it. I credit that POS with a lot of the rust that eventually fouled up the prop valve. Ironically, I took it off, and installed a used stock master - after cleaning it thoroughly and inspecting the rubbers. I've yet to see a stock master fail, but maybe I just haven't been around long enough.
Car seems a bit on the beater-tastic side of things to be a legit 36k miles. Maybe if it was a less than "well cared for" miles.
