Lift Tick coming from a Fresh Rebuild 2.8L V6 MFI
I just rebuilt my 2.8L V6 out of my 1986 chevy camaro and its been running fantastically for the last month and I can't complain except for a day ago my engine developed a lifter tick from the driver's side of the engine. I ran it today at work and was checking the oil plug when I discovered one of the valves on cyl 2 looked to not be going down (in the video link attached). Now I already have planned to pull the valve cover off tomorrow when I install long-tube headers but what i'm not understanding is how did the lifter just start ticking while going 50-55 mph on the highway. I did everything correctly and repeated every step on all the valves. If it is just unlucky that it lashed out then how could I stop it from happening again?

I went into the valve cover with my hand and thankfully the rocker is just lashed out of place like crazy and could probably be fixed with a little tigning and blowing out the pushrod with compressed air as it almost acts like its not getting oil up the gally to tighten the nut.
