o'reilly has the best service and knowledge from what I have seen, autozone has the best prices almost always tho. just depends on what you need.

yup yup but they tell me that I can only mortgage my house once! sometimes they have really good prices on things, other times they are sky-high. Seems to be a hit or miss type of a thing for me.

Actually the autozone down the street from me on Hwy 6 and I think Keith Harrow has some pretty knowledgeble guys there, but I do know what you mean I been to some autozones that are just ridiculous. The thing that really bothers me about them is when they hassle me about returning two different alternators when I have a lifetime warranty. Its not my fault the damn things fail every 8 months or so, I bought the lifetime warranty for a reason. I almost ended up dukeing it out with one guy because he said if he sees me in the store again hes going to void the warranty on any parts that I have. I asked him to step outside and his manager quickly stepped in and repremanded him. Anyway sorry for the long story, but it really just depends on what store you go to.

I think its part of the application process to be really slow and stupid at Autozone.

In general, O'reilly has pretty good service on returns and new parts.

I have never had any trouble taking back junk that I bought from them

Now that I think about the last time I returned a part at O'reilly's it went very smoothley. I bought a belt tentioner from them, and when I put it on and started the car it exploded into like 8 pieces. It looked like I hit the thing with a sledge hammer. I went to the counter told the guy I wanted my money back and he "Ok here ya go". No questions asked. I about fell over on my way out. I was sure they were going to hassle me.

Most of the times that I have been to the Autozone up here on Rayford Road in the Spring area they have been slow. Also I dislike waiting in 2 lines to get parts, (one to get the part then one to checkout). The Oreillys 100 yards up the road is awesome in their service and courtesy. Sometimes they are real busy but there are fast at getting you in and out.

I think overall, O'Reilly's has a better quality of parts.
