Need 305 TPI Radiator in DFW

Hello guys and gals. I'm in Fort Worth and need some ideas on where to get a used (or inexpensive new) radiator for a 87 Trans Am (305ci V8). The car is automatic too. If any of you locals know please post..or if there are any places online you would recommend. I checked hawks but it was pretty high. Also while I've got your attention I'm seeing two or three different types of radiator for the car. One 7/8" thick and another 1 3/8" I just need to replace the factory setup.

Thanks in advance!

Have U checked the normal places like the local auto parts--sometimes they are not as high priced as U might think.

Next obvious place would be the local salvage yard. If memory serves there is a junk yard that specializes in thirdgns up in Dallas/Ft. Worth somewhere--maybe a local might be able to point U in the right direction.

Local Radiator shop.

Contact VernW here on this board--he may know of one of the local members up there that has an old one to get rid of.

Also, try the "cooling" tech board here on Thirdgen.org--I know there are a few favorite places to get rad--mail order--look around and maybe do a search--post a question--whatever works.

Yea the cooling section pointed me to a few good places for mail order. I never thought about the local auto stores (dumba**)...looks like $120 is average for a new one. However if anyone here has one to get rid of or knows someone who might let me know! If its in working order then I can use it.

Thanks!

If I don't buy a 3rd gen this weekend, I have a NIB one in the garage that has a lifetime warranty on it.
