Hi im Ethan, proud owner of a 92 Camaro f-body. Im new to the forums so I thought id say hello. Ive browsed around a bit and love this place! I hope this forum will continue to help me with my ride for many years to come.

Is there anyone on here from Central Texas? Waco area and such. If so please post your car and some general info youd like to include. Thanks everyone!

 

Welcome to the boards! Not sure if there is any in your area (clubs that is). I know there is an Austin based local club. U might just have to seek out the local hot rod scene, and then start looking up the local thirdgens.

AS far a thirdgens, there is a wealth of info on this board about our cars, just gotta look for it.

Come check us out, we have monthly meets every first Sunday, and occassional meet up with all the Houston folk that are the majority of this forum.

As far as finding information for a thirdgen, this site is the place to be, use that search feature

I just got done posting this on our calendar and made an official meet post in our gathering section.

Yeah its too far this year but maybe next year seeins how I will be living on my own going to College at TSTC. Just asked my friend and he said he'll tag along too! So hopefully I will see you all next year lol.

What's up? I'm in waco. (actually Lacy Lakeview) havent got any pics of my camaro on the computer yet but its a 91rs red, not many third gens around here and most that i do see are v-6's or just not taken care of. also i gave my step son a 84 berlinetta lg4 so have a couple of thirdgens in the household

 

Wanted to say Hello to all myself....been away from thirdgens for awhile and finally got another....I live in North Austin and would like all to know I'm always up for helping other thirdgenners out .I do everything from motorswaps to ring and pinion setup,to custom work....sooner or later I'll get around to myown LSx/6speed swap.....Just a friendly Hello!!

Hopefully you got my email saying Hello as well,and I signed up for the local board....I figured I missed yesterday when I saw the First Sunday every month....only day I had this past week to work on the RS....when I bought it the previous owner put a 98 cent maaco paint job ontop of the black and white DPS colors(and they didn't even sand )...so I wet sanded,and wet sanded,and wet sanded somemore,and at least got black primer on it....now I gotta pick a color....lol....but its presentable....next tasks may be a fuel pump,and an exhaust...I still have dual cats and original manifolds,but the bone heads put a strait pipe in place of the muffler and I can't stand it ..lol......everything else is original on the car,it just needs a little upgrading......and to answer your original question,I'm willing to help out all I can with your LS1 swap....I haven't put one in a thirdgen yet,but am very familiar with these engines,and this is my goal....we did however put an LS1/6speed combo in a B-Body....and I think that was more involved than our thirdgens.......
