Glass is glass, if you don't like the install, call your insurance provider and have them do it over again.

When looking at an Fbody, I guess see how it drives. If you can't spin the tires whatsoever from a complete stop, there's something wrong with it. A tune up would be nice. Hopefully it doesn't burn oil, that is something that the previous owner neglected and might've ran the car for awhile on 2-3 qts of oil. Maybe even burned the pistons and o-rings may be shot.

If AC doesn't work, chances are it's not because it needs to be recharged, but the compressor is old and shot. There's a nice $1k fix right there. Drive it and w/o a shadow of a doubt, take it to a shop for an inspection. No matter how much you may love a particular formula, it is not worth the money spent to fix right away. There is always a better one out there.

Many enthusiasts agree that 89 5.7's are just about the best year for 3rdGens. Before putting any money on the table, make sure you have an experienced ThirdGen owner or mechanic inspect the car to establish the value. Replacement rear hatch glass is easily available from salvage yards or people here parting out cars. Cost is usually $100-200. Be aware these are not new cars and will require special attention, some more than others. Welcome aboard Invader Zim -- go get 'em!
