Rear widow:
junkyard
call some wihdshield companies out of the yellow pages

For 2K (which is a pretty darn good price these days)--if it runs descent, fairly straight body/ no major rust and does not need any major repairs to be road worthy, it is well worth it! If it was more money, then U could start looking deeper into basic overall condition, but for 2000.00 I'd jump on it!

Good points, the formulas had both, even my 88 305 TBI. They all also have the WS6 suspension package with the different offset wheels (front/rear).

Should be a "Performance Suspension" badge on the lower right dash.

OK, good Formula specific info here: http://www.3rdgenformula.com/

Digit number 5 of the VIN should be the letter S for a Formula.

Well, first off that VIN checks out as a L98 / 350 TPI Formula. Good score, but the hood and spoiler are not what came on the Formulas. Check it well for serious accidents, etc.

Sounds like you made the right decision by passing on it.

not prefect, but could still be a good car, & it has a good price on it.

Re: hi all new here and a few Q

Soooo, I know this thread is OLD. But....I bought this car on 6/21/2006 and for some reason decided to google my vin number. Just though it was funny that my vin number pulled up a thread on TGO. I also noticed the "has frame damage" bit, I've had it on a lift and both fenders off along with the hood, looks solid to me. I was hoping the OP might chime in if I revive this.

It was certainly beaten and battered before I got it. Kids had apparently thrown rocks through the rear decklid during the last days of school shattering it. It was the stock hatch, but had a base firebird wing on it (likely due to the Aero wing cracking long ago). It did have the original numbers matching Formula hood on it when I got it though. It also came with WS6 wheels, and all power options except for power seats. The car was stock down to the stock exhaust, which I might add was terribly trashed. The whole passenger side was dented, fender, door, rear quarter creased. The front sway bar had the end links removed and drifted all over the road, headliner was sagging and the seats were torn. But it ran well (after being jump started) and for some reason it spoke to me

So I bought it and it has not been retired from daily driver duty for the last 4 years. It has had the stock 350 TPI, which lasted well into 2007/2008, after it blew a head gasket at about 200k (on the odo) I rebuilt it to a cammed 383 stroker. That motor dropped rings and killed itself. After this it went into a shop for a LSx swap.

It now has:
LQ9/4L60E
XER281HR cam
True Duals
Fresh custom interior hand made by me and my aunt
LS6 intake/F-Bod accessories
LS1 headers

Anyway, I had to add some closure to this thread for the car.
