Katy Area Third-Genners.

how about we revive the Sam's Club show every Saturday night? I'm thinking of going out there this coming Saturday. Not with my third gen, obviously, but I'll be there with my fourth. I think it's worth showing off.

There is a group of guys meeting on mondays at 8pm out at peek rd and I-10 at the cinemark theater, mostly 4th gen guys I believe. As for the Sams club meet I wouldn't mind heading out there when my car is finished but I wouldnt be surprised if the I-10 construction is running everybody off because all that dust in the air isn't a good idea for show cars

I would probably join in once a month also. That location is a little far for me but what the heck.

160 on a computer car is not good unless U reprogram the chip.

Hard wire the fan relays!

1. Make sure the air dam is in place.
2. Check timing.
3. Radiator hose collapsing?

Willie, author of '******* Total Fan Control' (I think that was the name) reported he ran 160 degree t-stat with no problems.

How about starting a new thread if you want us to take a swing
at this problem.

Did anybody meet up this weekend? I tried Kemah for the first time. It started to rain the second I pulled into the parking lot. That stunk because it took almost an hour to get there.

Was there a turn out at the Kemah show or did the weather keep them home?

There were about 5-6 cars when I pulled in. Almost everyone split when it started raining. I saw a nice yellow third gen camaro when I pulled up. I think
a lot people left before it started raining. I saw 4-5 older cars headed north on 146 when I missed the turn and went too far south.

My boy was with me so I took him to the board walk and rode a few rides. So I guess it wasn't a complete washout. When I went home around 9:00 there were about 8-9 90's mustangs in the parking lot.

I would like to give it another try but it sure is a long way.

i swung by Sam's this past Saturday night but no one was out there. not one car in sight. probably because it had been raining practically all day. but when i went, it was clear and the sun was out. *shrugs*

maybe this saturday? i'll try it out. Kemah's too far of a drive for me. i thought about the 290 show but still. that's further than Sam's. oh well.

When I get back from vacation, maybe we can start a new one at a different location?

Maybe even a different night--like Friday, so we could get some of the cars that go to the Niftee Fiftee's show?

The owner of the slot car raceway at 615 S. Mason, is willing to sponser the event. In this case sponser means to pay for some flyers, provide the parking lot area (so to speak) allow the car people that show up to come in and use the facilities if needed, and even give 15 free track time for the rental slot cars by using the coupon on the flyer!

We have talked about it in the past, but I would need to sit down with him and firm everything up and make sure it is still a go!

Thoughts?
