I am working on designing our website guys. If you guys have suggestions about how the webpage should be oriented let me know. I am still in the scripting phase and working on finding a good hosting company that will have all the features we will need for a decent price. We can always get a free message board, but it probably will be pretty basic and wont be that customized.

Myspace? There probably already is a thirdgen myspace thing. Check and see. I don't care for myspace too much, but that's just me. Keep the suggestions comming though. Brian, how are you laying the page out? What kind of logo should we use? A banner for the page? We could use 1 Pontiac and 1 Chevy or a huge group photo. We'll have a vote if it's decided on 1 Pontiac and 1 Chevy. I vote mine out because it's 2 different colors and it'll just make the banner look lesser. I'm not that good with photoshop but my friend is pretty cool so i'll him if he can mock something up. Anyone else who wants to try lets see those logos/banners. ALSO, another thing that would be cool is to have the SA3GO(that is the name right???) put on our cars in small letters or huge banner across the front. Of course that would be with membership. After this gets rolling, and before we have the page I think we need to just have a sit down and talk of how everything is going to go as far as the memberships and such. That is what's going to pay to have the page hosted and if we decide on what's included with membership.

im cool with all that stuff except the logos on the car. I mean Ireally dont like all that sticker stuff on it but I got to see the logo I guess if its pimped out then well maybe dont get me wrong if it looks really good then maybe like i said. but before we count our chickens we need to start seeing who is going to get in on this and we need to meet up for sure we dont want just people who are going to crap out in the long run talk is cheap
, I understand members have to work and Im not saying that everyone is going to have to be there every meet. also what good is a group if we are going to discriminate on each others cars were doing this to help each other learn and trade tricks on what we can do to increase HP and tourqe. We all like f-bodys cause if not we wouldnt be driving them cameros or firebirds alike. we need to get every one who really want to be part of this and everyones welcome wether there car is cheered out or they have a fixer uper. set something up time place remember this weekend lots is going on so u should get things rollng like at bennigans or the pig stand were every one meets just my 2 cents bro

I don't mean logos on the car, I mean on the website. The cars can just a little tiny SA3GO at the side of the hatch and that's all. We can even try to blend it in with the color of your car. I have an idea of how I want mine to look so i'll try making something for you to look at. As far as members and those who are all talk, they are seperated by their activity in the group and whether they actually become a member. Some groups, on their website/message board they have a section of it for members only. We can discuss all of this at bennigans. I hope to see EVERYONE out there, atleast to one of them. Later.

I decided to pull the plenum off tonight and remove those EGR walls right behind the throttle body that stick up almost an eighth of the way up from the bottom. I was going to radius the sides as well but i got tired of playing with the stones and files. I hope it was worth the time and effort.
Anthony, did you have the tpi setup hot tanked when you pulled the motor? I poured a can and a half of throttle body cleaner and only got off some off the carbon deposits inside the plenum, and the runners are covered in that black gunk inside.
If i have time on thursday i will whip out dreamweaver and setup a basic rundown on what a draft will look like of the page. Banners, logos and the like can all be ironed out later, and if everyone pitches in a few bucks we can get at least a 1 year commitment for a host, if you prepay you get a discount. Thanks everyone for the ideas, and Twitcher im glad you are coming on board. I'm thinking about your ideas Anthony and Jim, we will just start off small and work from there. If you run across a good background or can create a logo, email it to me and ill add it to the goody bag (my email is on my member page). ~ Brian

I kinda like the idea of the logos made for the cars, but nothing too big. Speaking of big logos on the cars, have ya'll every seen those guys that cruise down commerce in th "straight clowin' " cars, omg! its so funny, and when you see them in town you always see them in packs, even at like whataburger. Now those guys are gangsta' ! lol, just thought it was funny.

Bored.
Just washed my car, and it rains. My interior is nice and clean though. I use those wipes you get at walmart or auto parts store, but what I really like is the Armorall Pad, it makes everything nice and clean and shiney and that 1 pad you can use for your entire car. Took some pictures after I got done. Here they are.

Ok guys, I need ya'lls help.
My car does this only once in a while, usually when i drive from Sac to the south side. I get in my car from going to the store or something and my car wont start... Ive been told its the starter, But I think it happens only when I go long distances. Is it possible that the starter heats up? How do i get it replaced? how much is it? Is it even the starter?
Come on guys...educate this Camaro girly! I wanna know all I can about cars.

really it can be lots of things loose cable does the car sound like its ticking when u turn the key. something like tic tic tic. also can u smell fuel if u can it can indicate that it might have to do something with the fuel system. and does ur car have a good charge in the battary. lots of things can go wrong but u ned to check things in order to know if u want one of us can meet up with u to check it out just post up or look through the threads for our # a really good person who know way more than me is Z28 camero racer----------

if you have headers, you need a new starter, when the starter heats up up cuase of the headers, it causes t much resistance in teh starter rthus requiring more amperage to operate, my advice, wrap you headers, and wrap your start in heat sheild material and get a better battery, best being an optima they provide more amps

1. toogood my plans for saturday are full, congrats man.
2. I have full length headers and have never had trouble with the starter even when its overheated.
3. it sounds like it could be the starter going out I would have to look at it to be sure and check some other issues, when it won't crank what does it do, does the security light come on.
4. yea this is all that counts

Sorry man, my phone was on vibrate and i was....busy....
anyway, hospitals sometimes post pictures or even video like sonograms, this is what they had for your daughter.

Look at her go. That's after the pig stand race.
Twit, what engine do you have? If your going to bennigans or even the pig stand we can have a look at it. THere will be a lot of thirdgens so many people with the know-how to look over it. It could be the starter, or even something like the ignition module, or even the fuel pump going out. In order to really know what it is, we have to witness it.
I'm going to start making some sort of logo right now.

Check it

It's the logo from my shirt which underneath it says "GM Trademarks used under license to EXTREME MEMORABILIA" so anyone who likes that logo, and wants a shirt with that on it, check them out, I love this shirt.
I did it in 2min so it's a rough sketch of what could go on the car, and the logo itself would be like 4-6inch by 4-6inch...also it would just show the bird and SA3GO, not all the black parts. OR just have the letters SA3GO about 1inch by 5inch long.

Nice logo Jim, i must say that is impressive. BTW none of the thirdgens to my knowledge came with headers, we have exhaust manifolds which are cast iron. They called me into work tomorrow morning, sorry for the delay on site.
Anthony, i removed those EGR walls inside the plenum and together with that airbox modification, it feels sooo much better. It used to take a half second to build torque, now it just moves almost instantly. Smooth baby.
Twitchy, what you are referring to is possibly what is called "heat soak", my car does it too sometimes, you drive around for a little while, turn it off, stick the key in and NOTHING. Wont crank over, just sits and looks pretty. The starter actually stores up enough heat that it has a very high resistance to electrical current. There is a reflective starter wrap you can buy, or even a remote mounted solenoid you can wire up to the car, which moves the solenoid to a cooler spot (like Fords have).
You can have the starter tested in car at autozone, and they check the amperage pull while its cranking, and they can tell if the starter itself is bad. The other things that come to mind are faulty ignition module, neutral saftey switch, and ignition switch (does this car have VATS?).

Anyway, I love designing tshirts for guys, Im into making my own screens for screen printing, annnnd well it would be cool to make something for our little crew. I really like the previous design and I can do that and it will be like less than 10 bucks a shirt.
Well depending on what size shirt and everything ok between 10 and 12 bucks a shirt. Lemme know homie-g's!

Uh oh, a fashion designer...I better stay away. I've had my run-ins with fashion designers. You seem okay though. That'd be cool if you could make shirts for us, especially for so cheap.
Won't be able to make it to the show though, I work that day.
Anthony, we'll do your headlight motors tonight, and if Crystal is going, I don't have her number but can someone tell her to make sure she brings her motor bushings. See you all tonight.

Sounds good Twitchies, we could use some shirts, maybe a mechanic type shirt if you are up to it. I would like to see a prototype, that would be nice.

It's okay Twit, they didn't even have the show at Bennys tonight because the owner of the lot had cops parked there to prevent it. Just come out to the Pig Stand on Friday.
I know it's a firebird, and the camaros can make whatever logo they want. It's still a thing of preference whether you want the bird or camaro logo to go with the SA3GO or just have SA3GO.

I dont know if you guys remember talking about this, but i went to Jings on Broadway, (used to be Broadway Brewhaus), the new owners are totally different and the atmosphere is too. Its like an older peoples bar now, i dont think we would fit in there. We just need to keep looking and see if we can find someone to sponsor our events, or at least lend us their parking lot.
I took a break this weekend, since these past few weeks have really worn me out. Whats the news about Sunday, is Daniel doing his DJ thing again?
Jim do you think you can do a chevy symbol now? I really like that firebird symbol in that design you posted. I think some black hats would look sweet. I am going to start looking for a deal on shirts, unless Julianne can help us out.
z28camaroracer - is that you thomas?

I can try to make some kind of Chevy symbol. All I did with the Firebird one is take a picture of my shirt, upload to my computer, and cut that bird out.
Yeah, i'd like a hat too. As long as it's one size fits all hats.

Anthony, before you do the stealth ram, you really REALLY need to get your tranny fixed for it. As is you have too much power for that tranny and adding another 100hp or so will kill it the first time you punch it. I noticed that while driving it, you'll notice a huge difference in your power just by getting that fixed.
I agree Firebird and Camaro, i'm just saying having your own car there and then choosing which other car you want on your shirt. Having my car and say Dannys Green Camaro also. Did you see how much the hats and shirts are??? Probably have to show some kind of design for them to give an accurate price. Still havn't had the chance to work on that Camaro SA3GO logo yet, I will tommorow though.

Has any one thought of having buisness cards made to put on other thirdgens we come across during the week to try to get more people out to the meets
. Probly just have the site the club logo on each end one of each SA3GO in the middle and a place to put your sn so they konw who invited them to join.
Jim, you are saying that each person would have their car and one of their choice on their shirt so they would look the same but with different cars. This isn't a bad idea.

Exactly Tomas, i'd like to have my car and whatever other car I want on my shirt. Our shirts will share the same format but will have different cars on them. We havn't made cards but Anthony and Brian have made something along those lines. And whenever I see a thirdgen, I just grab a piece of paper and write something. Something more professional would be good though.
I'll be gone next weekend from the 3rd to the 5th. Flying back to Florida to see my parents and then driving back with my bestfriend/roommate. Free Trip.
Just walked outside to my car and someone tryed taking my bumper off last night, most likely to get to my hood. Fortunetly they aren't very bright and don'tk now how easy it really is to remove the bumper and get to the hood. I'm going to get an alarm, anyone know a good place???? I have a REALLY good idea of who is it, but without proof I can't say it was them.

Miracle Automotive is OK, just make sure that it has a kill switch and you might want to think about getting pin switches for the hood, that way if they open it the alarm will go off.

Right, i'll definetly ask if they have pin switchs for the hood and every accessible place to the car. I went to Alamo Auto sound and security and that's were i've been thinking of taking it to get an alarm. They have the Viper 5000 there with the pager to go with it. It's the next street over from SAC, and then get my tint at Electronics2000, I don'tk now if what they say makes any difference but their tint is metalisized or something so it doesn't fade like some tints do. Plus they block more sun that regular tint.

Custom Sounds does the best job IMO on the window tint, i am going to go back when i get the window moulding fixed so they can redo the tint. I am working on the webpage and i edited that image you posted Jim, for the background. I drooled over it a little since it looked pretty good. I am looking for some good pics of us together that i can use for a group picture. If you can get that chevy image, that would be cool too Jim, we can definitely use that.
Business cards we can probably print ourselves. I probably will work on this website more during class, and i will show you guys soon. Let me know if you guys run across any free message board PHP scripts that we can configure.
BTW i was at another JY today and i ran across a 2000 Camaro Z28. Dude wanted $2000 for the LS1 engine, $2500 for the engine tranny and harness. Looks like you would need to get your own MAF though, the front end is totally smashed on it. $100 for LS1 calipers, carriers and rotors each end, tried to get him to come down on the price, but he wouldnt budge.

Hi guys---have'nt posted in a while, but I managed to drop by Bennigans a week ago. I like the idea of SA 3rd gens. If your looking for a good looking firebird for your photo- I'd be willing to offer mine. I'm the guy with the 91 blue formula. I'm sure z28 racer and anthony would approve. Just give me the heads up a few days ahead of time, I have a daughter and would have to find a babysitter. Any ways I'll try and make it out to some of the future meets. laters matt

$2500 for the engine, tranny and harness??? That's a pretty good deal depending on their condition. Ahhh if only I had the cash straight up.
