I came out so cheap because I searched for months trying to find engines. I found them but they cost too much. Now since I went to the iron block 6.0L I go over to Lethal Performance and they have LS1s sitting around everywhere. When I first started looking they did not have any. But I would check with them. The last time I was over there Danny was selling the one out of his corvette. I was thinking about selling my iron block and buying that one.

I got the parts cheap, now I am trying to get the install done cheap. Like I said earlier this is more than I would want to take on by myself.

Is anyone planning to meet friday night at biffs or the stand.
Alamo performance has great coustomer service they traded out my fuel pump for a new one at no charge, so the camaro is going to be on the road this weekend.
Anyone that is intrested the safbody meet this week is at Red robin at the Forum, located at 35 and 1604. meet at 3:30 saturday trying something new this week to beat the dinner rush that and it will still be eairly enough to do something afterwards.
Toogood002 is there any thing you still need for sunday post up or call me.

Ok i have a few of the pages completed and i am looking for a host for the website. I am thinking either Dot5 or bluehost or even dreamhost, any suggestions would be helpful. Also if any of you have html knowledge or want to make a logo, have at it, i could use the help. My email is on my membership page, just click on the link and email it to me.
For a brief preview, i got a free host site and put it up.
Check it out and let me know what you think.
SA3GO.tripod.com
Edit: The links work now and the CSS too

Bring anything you think you would like to have with BBQ that Anthony is making. This will be more of a Pot Luck type of deal, and hopefully we can get everyone lined up for some pictures.
Sean, Julianne, and Brandon thanks for showing up, we had a pretty nice cruise over to the Pigstand and a good get together. Thanks Thomas for the timing tip, it really runs smooth now.
Who ever wants to help out with the logo, go ahead and let me know so we can modify the webpage. Anyone have any ideas on how the screen prints for the shirts would be like? Julianne showed me her work, and its very nice.

Yeah, good turnout. And we FINALLY got to talking about some stuff.
BRIAN, my car is not a Firebird Formula...it's just a regular Firebird. Also, it's not just Ram Air Hood, I have the Ram Air Intake also. And I put the Formula wheels instead of the stock 15x7s that comes on the base model. Which I plan on changing soon I hope. Hopefully what I have in my head looks good in person. Don't put that though, don't worry about my modifications list. Lets see those pictures though if anyone took any, I know ram did.

I'll change it when i update the pages. I think i will delete all the pages, and then upload the ones from my computer and see if that works better, so dont be surprised if the webpage disappears for a little while.
BTW Jim, what year is Krystal's?

from reading the guidlines any one is allowed, I think if a forth gen was willing to come cruise/chill then so be it. If we didnt then we wouldnt be any better than some of the other clubs...
Kyle man dude you got some talent bro. It has my vote also. Oh and BTW Maroon T/A we voted the other day at the barbecue that anyone can join and cruise with us. Its just that were going to focus on the thirdgens which basically each of us have. One guy showed up with a stealth his name is chris and is a friend of brian or AKA Lucid LOL! anyway he was more than welcome so is anyone who wants to support what where doing. You have to remember that we just started out and sunday was our first official meet for the SA3GO. Hope to see more people at future ones. LATERZZZZ!!!!!!!!!

Kyle did that when he was bored? It looks really sweet, um ask him if he knows how to setup a PHP or CGI message board, and if he gets bored to hit me up and let me know lol.
I created some more member pages last night, and tomorrow i will work on a picture gallery for the Brackenridge Meet. I think i will make this my final project for school, and continue to build on it during class.
Thomas, that website you mentioned is very refined, and very aesthetically pleasing. They use tables to layout the pages very well.

Nice job on the picture for the site.
Sorry I could not make it out on Sunday. I had to do the family thing on sunday. Seems like everyone had a good time. Also I think I read something about a cruise coming up. What is the location, date and time of the event?

Because of a drag strip scheduling mistake, the LMP web site shows the LMP drag strip closed on Sat. Nov. 18th-- this has been changed--Please see below!
LATEST UPDATE:
LONESTAR MOTORSPORTS PARK IS OPENING UP JUST FOR US. THE 2006 FALL BRAWL IS ON AS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED!!!
After receiving a phone call from his secretary this morning saying they would not be open, John Hennesy himself called me, and we again went over the details of the event. He said he will open the track at noon and stay open until dark-thirty. It will be an open track/Test-N-Tune day with the track open to anybody, but will feature the Thirdgen.org show that day, including a dial your own time" complete elimination bracket race if we choose to do that instead of our own time bracket ekimination tournament as originally scheduled!
I myself would very much like to run a complete "dial your own time" double elimination race--not many tracks I know of would go to the trouble to accomidate us like LMP is willing to do.
John Hennessy has shown the type of upstanding person in rectifying this situation, and the type of quality person he is and how he intends to extend that trait to how he runs LMP. He should be commended for his efforts, and I highly recommend we support him and the efforts of LMP in the future!
Now here's the deal, I have spent a lot of time and agrivation, as well as John going out of his way to accomidate us, so we need to come thru and have a good/BIG turn-out for this event. In between all of U that said they would come in the head count thread, and even those of U from out of town that said U were coming--PLEASE. PLEASE, PLEASE SHOW UP!
Even if U are not going to make any passes on the drag strip--show up for the meet!!
Sat. Nov 18th at Lonestar Motorsports Park! NOON!!!
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/sout...-official.html
I sure hope U S.A guys that said U were going to make it, can make it! We really want a big turnout for this one--besides this may be the only chance we get to meet some of U!

Everytime i start my car it hesitates and runs like it has a stumble, but when i get it a little warm it revs ok. I was going to change the plug wires, but this reminded me of having deposits on the plugs. So I decided to pull a couple of spark plugs and look at them. Apparently, that Seafoam works pretty well and the fuel injector cleaner and deposited the gunk right on the spark plugs.
I attached a picture, i know its hard to see, but it really does look like a piece of charcoal.

Zap Racing, thanks for the info. I am going to have to redo the spark plugs, the carbon on them is making it stutter. Honestly, i dont know how the car was running with the terminals covered in deposits. I have had a problem with Bosch plugs fouling with deposits, and i used to run the regular platinums all the time, then i switched to the 4+ because my dad likes them so much. I wont run regular AC Delco's because my engine eats them up in 3 months. I was running 13* static timing and recently i turned it down to 4* static timing.
BTW we voted as a group, we are staying here for the Ford VS GM shootout that weekend you are doing the fall brawl. I still want to go, my 5.0L probably wont be able to slay that many mustangs.
Jim, that sucks man about the alternator again.
I went to Autozone and i told them year make and model and i needed spark plugs for my 305 fuel injected camaro. Then the guy looks at the list and he asks what engine i have. Then i tell him a 305 FI again, then he sends 6 plugs up to the counter in the front. LOL

Your 5.0 might be able to take out a few mustangs, just lose all that stuff you have in your car.
Too bad these two events are on the same day let alone the same weekend. I still need to request that day off, completely forgot. Who all is going?? SA3GO make a good showing?? See how everyone's car does. I may race myself, who knows...maybe...just MAYBE, i'll crack into the 16sec range.

Brian say away from the +4, I have seen them cause problems also, Try to stick to AC plugs.
For saturday the 18th any one that can make it safbody is planning to meet at the rocket mart on 1604 then cruise too the track, its inside the loop take I10 exit take 1604N its on the left 2nd stop light inside the loop.
Meet at 1:00
Gates open at 2:00
Time trials 2:30-4:00
Eliminations 4:30-6:00
For this friday I am going to the track for one last test and tune before the shoot out. To get my beast dialed in I recomend that anyone that can get out there this week or next friday to get your cars dialed in. At the shoot out you will maybe get two passes to get times.

We really got to let everyone know about Nov. 18th. I don't think everyone knows. Also we should meet up with SAFBA and head over there in a huge pack.

LOL

If U have aftermarket ignition (like an MSD) I don't think U are suposed to runthe fancy plugs like platinums or any plug with those platinum "bottons"--not sure what U have as far as ignition00if U do U may want to change, so a search for info, or go to MSD web site and I think it talks about it there,--I run NGK --6630 is shelf #

I have a stock HEI ignition in the car. I am thinking about going with NGK, my friend swears by them. I have never really had much luck with spark plugs. I popped a 2+ bosch platinum to replace that bad 4+ one so i could get it running, and it runs pretty good. Someone else had told me that my 160* stat doesnt let the engine get hot enough to burn off deposits.

I highly doubt i'll be getting saturday off...all I can hope on is working the morning shift instead of closing. But i've been closing almost everyday now so...sucks. Hey brian, you still going? Anthony, sorry man, I know I didn't call you back, or whenever you call my phone is off. It keeps shutting off on me and won't turn off untill I plug it back in, even though it says it's fully charged. I ordered another battery, hopefully should be in soon.

The two superguns are down, Anthony's GTA and Thomas's 13 second beast. I need to change the spark plugs, change the tranny mount and i need front tires bad. I dont think they will pass inspection. I wanted to put the 1.6 ratio rockers in too, but im not exactly sure how to do it.
I still want to go on Saturday, and i want to race at the dragway since i have never done it before. I am going to find some cheap tires to put up in front, the mount isnt too bad, and the plugs shouldnt take too too long to do. If i get that all done this week, i am going to run with the Stang's.
