Thanks,
I'll probably rebuild after a year or two...when some others have already done so. I really expect a HUGE building boom out there as a result of all the FEMA and SBA money. All those new houses and businesses will probably make the property values go way up. That, in turn may force a lot of the origional residents, who survived Ike, to sell because the taxes will be too high.
For now I'm in a wait and see mode.

It was pretty bad here in Fairview,OK we live in a dry part of the state and therefore have almost zero flood preperations out of 500 homes here 80 where total loses and another 150 reported damage. I dont know how but my 88 iroc survived. Water got up to the windows, when it finally went down I opened the doors I got soaked, water had been level with the center console. So I pulled the battery to kill the power and stop any wiring corrosion then pulled the interior washed any dried everything and did a full oil and lube job. And let them car completely dry in a heated shop for a week. I gotta say your heart really drops when you see your car sitting in that much water and you know you dont have flood insurance luckly some quick thinking saved my car. It been over a month now and everything works perfect.
