E-Brake Cable Guides

Anyone got a set of these? They are the wire guides for e-brake cables.

Hey, Bad,

GMpartsdirect shows that both guides are still available.

Re: E-Brake Cable Guides

Yea, just ordered them from GM. Also, sent you a PM. Thanks for the good sticky on the PBR conversion. Also ordered new front to rear brake line from Finelines. When I get these few parts my conversion will be complete. Thanks again for the help.

I had a set on an old rear end in my backyard that I'm about to dump. Just saw your post.

Re: E-Brake Cable Guides

Oh well, thanks but I ordered some from GM PartsDirect. Suggest you save them as more people are switching from Delco Moraine disc to PBR disc and will need them.If you don't want to keep them I'll take them as I may do an upgrade on the 86 I just sold to a friend.

Re: E-Brake Cable Guides

Are those on disc e-brake, drum e-brake, or both? I just hooked mine back up after dropping in the new motor and rear end a few months ago and neither rearend I had, had those loops.

I was scratching my head on routing. Take out was 91 Firebird drum, and install has 89 IROC disc.

Any info on this?

Most have the "S" hook farther up the tunnel. A search should find you a pic.

I,m using both. It will insure the cables stay away from the exhaust.

These are the ones you need for your 3rd gen. The issue is that the e-brake cables will (may) be pulled too tight if you use the differential mounted guides due to a difference in the cable lengths. This may or may not happen but I think it will.

This is how the 3rd gens need to be run:

Re: E-Brake Cable Guides

Ed, do you have any of those s-hooks? Just discovered I only have one. If not maybe I can refigure a conventional s-hook from the local hardware store.

The p/n for Guide, cbl is 14077776; however, the number, on GMPartsDirect, doesn't come up. Maybe the dealership....

Re: E-Brake Cable Guides

I have a couple in the shop. Need one or two? I plan on hitting the U-pull it later this week and I usually pull them off cars when I think of it. LMK.

Re: E-Brake Cable Guides

Need only one of those s-hooks. The OEM setup only had one on the passenger side of the car. The drivers side cable went through a welded loop on the diff. housing only. So if you could spare one I would appreciate it. LHG
