im looking at getting into another third gen and making it into a drag car/weekend warrior and keep my 05 gto stock as a daily driver.
that being said, im looking for an either stock and in good condition, or already modified fbody.

it can be a T/A or a Camaro... post up some pics of what you got!

I have a car that be perfet for a drag car. Lightest third gen You could get too. '83 firebird. Some dents but pretty straight body, and no tears or rips in the interior, Just needs a good cleanup cause the cars has sat awhile. a good paint job and dent repairs and it be a slick ride. I have a 350 and trans to throw in with it!

 

hey ive never really looked into the v-6 to v-8, but is it just the motor mounts you would need to change or what else would need to be done?

 

Radiator, fan shroud, exhaust, probably some modified fuel lines just to get started. V6 transmission won't fit a V8 so you will have to install the other trans and may need a different drive shaft.

Not to mention needing either another intake or a computer and wiring harness for the TPI.

 

Its an '83 I wouldnt even think of using tpi. I was going to build a bad *** carbed 350 for it so I'd go that route.(or whatever V8 you choose)

Here its considered an antique so I could go carbed and do away with the computer stuff.

But I do have a 350 and trans out of an 87 GTA, I was going to use it for the build.

Like I said though, it could use a paintjob and a few dents repaired and a good cleanup and it be a nice car.

Forgot to mention the only thing really bad interior wise is the dashpad which we all know is the 1st thing to go bad inside these cars.

I'll throw everything I have with the car for 1200$ including the 350 5.7 and 700r4 out of my 87 GTA.

 

Btw, I also have evrything You'd need drivetrain wise to convert to the v8.
Like the trans of course, driveshaft and 3.27 borg warner posi out of my 87 GTA.

I'm in Red Oak, Tx. It's about 30 miles south of dallas.
Its a straight shot from austin to here on 35E. Though it will be good drive up here.
