yes, im on atgo. I just reg. yesterday. I just bought another third gen..i think this one makes 7 so.. 2 adults, maybe 2 kids.

This isn't a hard and fast count. If it changes? It changes. This is mainly just a count for parking & (mainly) how many people the restaurant will need to have enough food for.

JT, the Admin, graciously modified the 5-person-limit-per-PM to 100, so that I could sens 1 mass PM to everybody at once. Then I had to send a 2nd PM to the names that were incorrect.

Despite the part where I said "Send email. not just a post here or PM" so that I could easily keep track of the # of people, I've gotten several that were just that. Just posts here or PMs.

As for my Database....I have an Excel sheet with all the names in it & I'm highlighting the confirmed coming names in green & the confirmed not coming in red. You want that?

I got your Reply & your on "the list". I just wasn't gonna sit here & sent out 90 "OK"s....I've sent PMs to everyone. I just don't want people driving real far & get pissed that much fewer showed up that they expected.

i told you that the time and money would factor in to this. i will not be doing it. hopefully more will confirm. but i dont see it being nowhere near the 90 that showed interest.

 

I knew that. That's nothing new.

It is just that the LACK OF response that surprises me. "Can't make it" or "I'm coming....1 car/2 people" is short & simple for people to respond with.

I don't wanna tell the restaurant to expect 90 people...They have that much food ready, then just 30 show up. Or tell them 30 are coming & have 90. "Sorry.....Not enough food ready & cooked."

I'm just trying to look out for the TGO members having to make the drive & look out for the restaurant having too much food/not having enough food.

Then there is the parking. We all need to park at the restaurant while we eat. I can't block off 30 spots & have 90 show, nor block off 90 spots & only have 30 show.

Wow that sucks that so many arent responding, but people get busy. Life gets in the way, I wouldnt say the nonresponders are no shows for sure. Lets hope a decent amount turns up. If the current amount of confirmations doesnt change much in the next 13 days, you may want to tell the resturant to expect approx 40 people. Thats a decent ballpark range and the resturant also has to know that large gatherings always have difficulty nailing down exact numbers. I'm really looking foward to this though.

 

I just hope more people respond, otherwise its kind of pointless to drive 4 hours for a gathering of 30 people when that can be had locally.

 

i'll try this again to help you nail down a more accurate head count...

in the Houston group, #5 anthony and #12 antsZRS is the same person, also #6 justin and #14 trifilo is the same person. i can 99% guarantee you that if anthony(antsZRS) it not coming neither is justin(trifilo).

I had to regretfully back out, that removes 5 people and 3 cars from the list. Sorry guys/gals.

I will be atending this, I go by the name of Shaun6691 on NTTGA. I will be bringing my 91 camaro and will be bringing a friend. I've been set on attending this for a couple months now but just didnt post it. I can't wait for this!

 

I'm still working out some kinks on the Iroc to get it ready for the trip. It's been sitting waiting for a new tranny for almost 2 years, finally got it in... I still have it on my Calendar to go.

You'll need to remove my list of people form the main list, unless you were going to change the color, like you stated:

 

Some people said to put them down as coming from DFW, others said to list them as NTTGA. I was just doing what they asked.

In the end...It doesn't matter where are listed. I could have just as easily made 1 list of names. I only broke it up so that people could more easily see that there were others in their area interested in coming.

This is true, but you have him with multiple counts on multiple lists. Just trying to help you keep track of your numbers

I just fixed the list & reposted it. 1.5 weeks to go & maybe I'll be able tp bump the # of people by 1. Wish me luck!

58mark has the list too (or anyone watching it online), but just lemme know. Although wit only 1 1/2 weeks to go, I doubt it'll jump by very much anyways.

 

For third gens, 60-70 is the magic number. The large f-body gathering in Detroit got 63 and the big Maryland meet got 67 IIRC.

 

I bet there will a a lot more than 30 cars there... some people jsut suck at RSVP's

I think I got my car fixed. Of all things, the high pressure hose was LOOSE on the back of the pump. I've never seen one of those come loose before on their own, but it was loose enough that I could move the hose with my hand, and now that I've cranked on it with a wrench, it's holding what fluid is in there

I need to go get a new supply of fluid to fill it the rest of the way... I almost ran out refilling it yesterday. No tranny fluid in the house either, I know I could use that instead

 

I'm going to individually PM everyone we haven't heard from yet ONE MORE TIME, and ask that they give us a heads up one way or the other... we'll see what happens

I would go anyways. The best thing that you can do when you don't have work is to get out, interact with people, stay fresh and network! Try and catch a ride if you want to save some gas cash.

A reminder....We need to park at Duke's initially, ten afterwards, we can all move elsewhere to sit, check out everyone's car & chat.

We have a couple of great hill country roads that are popular for cruises, especially with the sports car crowds & for the crotch rockets. But to go there, make the cruise & get back to I-35, we are looking at about 3 hours.....Anybody wanna do that? Not a big deal for those who plan on sticking around the rest of the day. Lemme know & it'll happen!

32 cars/64 people confirmed as coming.....That makes for right at 2/3rd (so far) of who was hoping to be able to make it. And I'm pretty sure there are some people that are coming & just haven't sent in a Confirmation that they are coming.
