Re: Houston Texas Thirdgen Round Up Cruise!
We should be okay, I'm taking some basic tools, hoses, belts & a couple of fix-a-flats along with my spare & jack. The car just made a 700mile (round-trip) last weekend & I ran it HARD! Ran cool the whole way never went over 220. Not even when I brought her up to 120. That new radiator really helped out.
Should be a good time, sucks that you have to miss out this yr. Have you been able to get any work done on it?

I'm seriously thinking about driving my truck up there tomorrow, but maybe I've had 1 beer to many tonight. I'd love to see all the TX 3rd gens at the meet up, I'll see how I feel in the morning.

Re: Houston Texas Thirdgen Round Up Cruise!
Well this was a big waste of my time. I totally understand it's a THIRDGEN roundup. But I had no idea that if I brought a good friend and obsessive fellow enthusiast along with one of his three Camaros that happens to be a Fourthgen that he would be outcasted to the outer parking lot and not even allowed to park near our cars. I just wanted him to be able to park where his beautiful 35th anniversary edition SS could be protected from irresponsible pedestrians. He knew he couldn't participate in the raffle, but still wanted to hang out with us and have a good time as he (unlike others here) enjoy and admire all f-bodys. Its times like this that make me ashamed to be apart of such events.

Re: Houston Texas Thirdgen Round Up Cruise!
that is how it has been in every thirdgen meet I have been to. it has to do with pictures. even the ones we or I have helped set up. we have always asked that non third gens park in a different spot. that is why we call it a thirdgen meet. it has been the same when I showed up at 4th gen meets. its the opposite. its just part of the game.

Re: Houston Texas Thirdgen Round Up Cruise!
I do understand that as I've been to these before too. I came to one in Austin as well. My problem here is the part where mark wouldn't even let the 2 fourth gens even come inside on the grass so they didn't have to worry about parking next to a couple of door dinging beaters out where they could barely keep an eye on them. I even told him I was going to park them separately, but that wasn't good enough for the third gen segregation god. As long as his car is protected, who cares about the others.
Overall great turn out & event! Can't wait for next yrs. Hope to see you there!

Re: Houston Texas Thirdgen Round Up Cruise!
lol. Probably not. I'm going to try to get a t-56 in there first....
Looking at buying a house during next tax season, so its all going to depend on how much I end up spending on that.....
I won't be putting any more money into the car, till I get the t-56 in there.
Hows your project coming along? Let me know if you need a hand. It be a good learning experience for me.
