There are two possible routes to get to Austin, the 290 route & the I-10 route. Where we meet for this cruise we greatly depend on where everyone is coming from.

Either route works for people that do not live in Cypress(290) or Katy(I-10). But, if you live in Katy it will not be worth your while to drive to a location that will take us the 290 route & vice versa.

Arrive @ 7am & depart @ 745a. We will arrive in Austin @ around 1130-12. One full HR b4 the meet. This will also give us a little cushion for the unexpected. Breakdowns,filling up, WHATS THAT NOISE?, etc.

 

I'm coming from 290 in NW Houston. If you're planning on taking 290 to Austin, I can catch up with you if someone gives me a call. There's a pretty big Buc-ee's there if anyone needs to refuel, get drinks, etc.

 

If we get more ppl from 290 then katy, we can go the 290 route & meet up with you & anyone else from that area at Buc-ees you mentioned. Can you get us an address to the Buc-ees?

 

It will be extremly helpful for us to be able to communicate with one another on the day of the meet. If your comfortable with it, post your # & I will add it to the first thread. If not, then you can PM me with it.

there are actually 2 buccees on 290. one is at the MUESCHKE RD exit.
the other is at FIELD STORE RD exit at FM362.
the one at fm362 is the newest and biggest one. we should all meet there at a certain time and then go on. I may actually leave earlier. ill let you all know.

lets meet at the big bucees in waller @ fm 362 and 290. it is HUGE!

yeah the Bucees is done I was there sunday night.

My car isn't running yet, but it will be. I am picking my block up in the next couple days.

 

And...I'm out. I just found out that BOTH of my daughters are in a recital that day and I'll be the worst father ever if I miss it. I was really looking forward to going this year since I missed last year's. There's always next year though!

I will definitely be at the round up this year with my car.

After watching a bunch of youtube videos and reading on TGO i was able to get my carb tuned pretty good.

Other than that I need to get a TCC lock up kit for it and fix a wheel bearing and it wheel be good to go!

I got a job at an Oreilly store so discounts on all the parts i want!!!!!!!!! and I dont mean five finger

Nice! Our poor B4C interior is sun-faded, and the carpet is dirty from all the years of autocross duty. It's still a hoot behind the wheel, though, in spite of the way it looks.

 

If my car and wallet are in agreement around this time than yes I am still going.

Lately my car has not been.

Going to be swapping it over to TPI soon. I'm sure I will have that done before the 17th

Besides that it needs hours of detailing inside & out.

It sits under a damn cover all day but the bastard still gets super dirty somehow

tpi??? do you have all the parts already?? that's going to be a little intensive. do you have the TPI pump in already?? or did you install the TBI pump. if I were you I would go with what you have to the show and then do that when you come back. unless you are already started.

 

Hes using all of my old TPI stuff, including harness & sensors.....

It shouldnt be to hard, after we remove mikes engine (tomorrow I think) I will begin taking mine apart and basically transferring everything over.

My Oreilly discount is going to help alot with the sensors I am going to need. Other than that I need injectors and I am going to get the Walboro 255 fuel pump.

This is all just temporary, until I can get my L98 in there.

 

Hey guys I just moved recently from Georgia to stay with my folks here in Tyler. My car is still in GA (at a friend's shop, needs to have first break-in on the motor, trans & rear end). Hopefully I will be picking the car up by the first week of may and if all goes well I plan on attending the May 17th event.
