1988 T/A 5.0 TPI parts car south of Houston **SOLD!**
Well, my 88 is officially toast.... My son crashed it into a 2ft diameter pine tree and wiped out the front of it mostly on the driver's side but thankfully, he was not injured. I will know more about what is salvageable (or not) after I look at it tomorrow. I will have to decide whether to sell parts or just sell the car as a whole later i guess...Hopefully I can find someone who can use all the good parts on it.

Sorry, it's a 700r4.
Hey, do you still have that 92 RS for sale? If so, I may be Interested in it as a replacement. (Don't worry, if I were to buy or build something with that much motor, NOBODY but me would be allowed to drive it.) My son will be leaving for (NAVY) boot camp in about 4 months, and My plan was to build something very similar to that camaro with the T/A after he moved out and I got the car back. But, now I don't have that option any more
... I just have to decide If I want to spend the money right now or not, that's all.
Thanks,
J. Campbell

Re: 1988 T/A 5.0 TPI parts car south of Houston
Sorry, I've been working (12hr) nights ever since the accident happened, so I really haven't had time to do anything with this thing. I'm actually at work now, but I may have time to do something with it on thurs afternoon.
I will say that the car has a light grey cloth interior, and there are no stains, burns, tears or rips (as far as I can remember) in any of the seats or the carpet. The only things that I know are wrong with the inside are;
1) Black dash pad was perfect, but now has a screwed up spot about 8 in wide in the center of the rear edge where the passenger's forehead hit it.
2) The padded vinyl on the driver's side of the console is pulling away and needs to be re-glued at the top beside the shifter bezel.
3)The t-top headliner is sagging some.
4)The piece that runs accross the back and holds the rear of the headliner up has a couple of the screw holes pulled thru it.
5)Not sure if the door panel on driver side is still good (think it is) but the door is shoved into the quarter panel hard enough that the quarter is buckled in front of the rear wheel. Prob have to try to take the fender off and un-bolt the hinges to get the door off...
It's mostly small stuff, but I believe everything else is still in excellent shape on the inside. The driver's seat had actually even recently been re-upholstered in the factory material.
All I know is that this car has a LOT of nice parts left on it. It is an LB9 305TPI and 700R4. Was running great (obviously) when the boy lost control of it. I think all the motor would need would be new valve seals since it did smoke a little at startup after sitting overnight and used a litle oil (no leaks tho). Also, I just put a new set of Year one 17x9" Snowflake replica wheels (black inserts) and Falken 275/40/17 tires on it last November. (one of which will now need the inner lip straightened and tire also has a bubble in sidewall), the car also has a Hawk's Fiberglass rear spoiler, a really nice set of taillights, 2:73 posi rear, 3" flowmaster catback system with polished stainless tips, Perfect T-tops, perfect back glass with defroster, hatch, hatch pulldown motor, rear bumper, right rear quarter panel and right door, door glass on both sides, power windows and locks, original radio with EQ, I think the right headlight assy and fog light may still be good too plus a lot more stuff etc, etc....Oh, and the car color is factory 1988 solid WHITE if that matters. Hell, I still even have the T-top bags and the owner's manual too! EVERYTHING is all there....I Even still have the original wheels and tires too.
I really don't have time to deal with dis-assembling this thing myself, nor the place to store all the parts if I do tear it apart. I would like to find someone who needs/wants the parts to just buy the car as a whole If I could. I still haven't decided how to deal with it yet, or how much $ to ask as I am still not really mentally ready to let it go I guess.
I guess I will try to take some pics and figure out how to post them later on....Sorry so long.

Thank you for your condolences. LOL. Not sure what you are referring to for sure tho. What is DIC if not abbreviated (just to be clear)? Digital Istrument Cluster, maybe?? If so, sorry it is not digital if that is what you are asking. If not, sorry for my ignorance, and please explain.
