Well, when the car hasnt been running for too long if i turn up the dimmer switch my gauges go haywire. Particularly the tach goes in sync with the dimmer switch, the oil pressure gauge goes to 0, the battery charge goes all the way to negative, and the right turn signal goes on constant.

Furthermore, when the turn signal is turned on and cold the gauges all jump.

Lastly, and as of today determined to probably be related. My stereo speakers are going out and on sometimes at random(We seem to have determine it is due to the amp shutting down due to power loss. (Me and some EE friends went to town testing the sound system today) Basically head unit continues but all speakers just stop playing music.). All this started when I had the fan switch relay wired in. G&S told me they didn't do that type of work. They rechecked what they plugged back up though and said around the alternator things looked ok. I can live with the gauges, but the radio cutting in and out is driving me nuts!

edit- I would assume it were the console circuit board if not for the fact that there is no reason for it to have just gone, and no reason why the stereo should be doing what it is doing.

All this from installing a fan switch?? It took them like 5 minutes on mine and that was that. There's a pretty good mechanic next door to them. If you're standing in front of their building looking at the garages, I think it's two buildings down to the right (north). You might want to try that guy. . . can't remember his name though.

I dunno if it was the fan switch that caused it, or just something that was going and a little bit of adjustment messed it up.
Does the mechanic next door do electrical systems?
What is his number.. its a long drive from here.

I'm not. I'm leaving Wens for war. Don't know if or when I'll be back.

Not as of late. Volunteered last summer, but was local until last Friday. Now I don't know where they're sending me.
