Central Florda Street Cars, in association with Southern Camaro/Firebird Association and Central Florida F-Bodies, are hosting a Statewide Gathering at Don Garlits Museum in Ocala, Fl on September 16, 2007. This is open to all domestic rear wheel driven vehicles. This includes, but is not limited to, Camaro, Firebird, Corvette, Mustang, GTO, Dart, Road Runner, Charger, Daytona, Viper and a host of other vehicles.
The event runs from 10:00AM to 4:00PM. Awards will be given to the first, second, and third place showing overall. Rankings will be determined by spectator voting. Also, there will be drawings for door prizes.
FIRST PLACE - $100.00 CASH
SECOND PLACE - $50.00 CASH
THIRD PLACE - $25.00 CASH
Drawings for the door prizes will be at 3:00PM.

CRUISE IN:
There will be meeting locations for the "cruise in" to the museum for the 10:00AM opening. Check the host message boards for times and locations.
FOOD:
There are a host of restaurants within walking distance. Cracker Barrel and Sonny's are just outside the premises. Policy of Don Garlits Museum - NO ALCOHOL ON PREMISES.

plan on entering the premises at 10:00am. not earlier. i will be video taping all entering the premises. you will be directed where to park, once you get your packet at the main entrance. this is the parking map. http://centralfloridastreetcars.com/...parkingmap.jpg if we overflow, then we'll move to the grass area to the right.

there will only be one tour with don garlits. it is at 12:00pm. so, be there and paid by 11:45am. you will get an armband only for the tour. cost is $25.00 and includes admittance to the museums.

there is a swap meet. it will be near the main entrance.

just picked a door prize from ny-trex today. it is a complete V8 EFI wet nitrous kit!!! someone is going to be very lucky.

 

for the state gathering at garlits museum, there are a couple of spots to meet at for the cruise there. in orlando, they will be meeting at the pottery barn shopping center in ocoee at colonial dr and maguire rd at 8:30am. there's a mcdonalds in the parking lot. the turnpike entrance is right there.



also, a group of corvettes are meeting at the turnpike plaza at 8:30am as well.



there is a rally point at the exit for don garlits at 484 and I-75. it's the pilot truck stop for the 10:00am entrance.



remember to plan your time to be at the exit for don garlits by 9:50am. i'll be video taping the 10:00am entrance of everyone.
