A change of plans.....

Well, the IROC is going to stay bone stock.... we were going to do the ProCharger, along with a host of other mods. I have always had second thoughts about doing this to her, as she is such a low mile, unmolested car. So...... we are buying another LS1 car! It is a 2000 TransAm and we are pumped!! I am working on seeing what I can do to put the ProCharger on it instead. I am not sure how much they will charge for the different brackets and intercoolers, etc. My stuff is all still new in the box, hopefully I can trade.
I will let you guys know how this goes.....

I can't blame you for not keeping it stock. It's a nice car. But, a Procharger can always be taken off and put back to stock. That's why I'm not freaking out about it. I always save the stock parts in case she needs a new home or I want to change her into a show car. Fast car while I'm young, then show car when I get older. I'm guessing that you'll be paying 13k-15k for that Trans Am.

Re: A change of plans.....

You are right, but I had an 02' SS before the IROC and needed an LS1 again. I have always loved the TPI engines and the IROC specifically. I bought a 1988 IROC brand new and had to sell it when I started having kids.

So.... my thinking is, have the IROC sitting here for driving when I want to remember old times and the T/A for building up with my kids and playing with.

By the way, I got the T/A for $12K and pick it up today. 64,000 miles and it is BONE stock. We are excited!!!

That's awesome man. I have always loved the 4th gen SS and WS6's. Maybe one of these days, I might put a LS1 in my car, along with a Procharger. And not a bad price for that T/A, as you'll be happy you bought it. Trust me, I've road in a lot of 4th gens and they can get scary fast, quick. You'll be freaking out, when you let her know whos boss.
