I need a reliable place that does good work that won't rip me off...

I've been quoted from $700 to $1000 to $1900 (last quote) for the same work... The last 2 quotes were from Ice Cold Air!!!

go to Ferman Chevrolet in Brandon...ask for mike in the garage...he`s in his forties, he knows these cars...he works on mine.......he knows the best place(wink) and price to take your car...he`s the most honest mechanic I have ever known

 

Does "wink" mean he does work on the side?

you can always check with raynaldo 'ray' at johnny's automotive in haines city florida. (863) 422-2995. he has been workin' with me and REALLY reasonable! I have found that he does great work and i think their hourly is 70 bucks an hr. flat rate, cheapest rate in town. his place is right off highway 27 haines city on old polk city road.

 

you are near the clearwater airport?....check with the auction across the street...I think they still use Tiny`s automotive......

 

I'm near Clearwater, Haines City is too far & $70 is too rich... I'll keep checking the local ones...

Pep Boys gets 95/hour.....average shop? 70/hour.......if you find someone that does 60/hour you have a deal.......any mechanic that prices by the book is just putting it to you with no vaseline....if the job calls for 4 hours it usually only takes 2-3.......pay for the 2-3 only. I`m a dealer and I have guys that charge me based on the job.....not the book
