F-Body Beach Bash 2011
Here's a link http://www.fbodybeachbash.com/index.php
It's not the biggest event I've been to, but I went last year and had a ball. If you come, make sure you go to Myrtle Beach Speedway on friday, MUCH FUN.

Re: F-Body Beach Bash 2011
I'm now in the car club that's helping/promoting/organizing this event. I was put in charge of making the winner trophies. They will be presented at the car show on saturday(look at the link up top) . If you love the GM F-Body, don't miss it.
There will be second place awards, also "special" awards for things like, "Best Paint" "Best Engine "Best interior" ect. I don't have pics of the other awards (other members making them) But you best belive they will be cool. Here's a few pics....

I honestly really wanted to go last year (i'm from new york lol) But due to extenuating circumstances i had to cancel the road trip. I hope to make it down there this year! however it still looks to be a good stretch lol

Re: F-Body Beach Bash 2011
what was the reasoning for opening it up to more cars than f-bodies? I don't really go wild for non 3rd gen exclusive shows, but to dilute it even more by taking cars other than f-bodies from any generation, it's just another car show

Re: F-Body Beach Bash 2011
These things take money, a lot of money to put on, and opening it up to all GM vehicles gives the sponsers a better chance of breaking even. It's still promoted as a F-Body event, but you do what you gotta do. We really need the F-Body community to step up and come support this event, then maybe we can make it all F-Body. Spread the word.

Dean, I live in Conway just a few miles from the beach. If there's anything I can help you with let me know. I have some traffic cones already for marking off the lot for the show and can get more trash cans if needed. Terry didn't give much time last year but I did what I could. Not his fault probably mine for not letting him know sooner. LOL Great show last year but took a week to get over sun burn.

Re: F-Body Beach Bash 2011
I've been busy at work lately and haven't been keeping up with events lately. Didn't even know about thursday till you mentioned it. LOL
Yes Terry did get that dumped on him at the last minute but it still went great.IMO I didn't know if he was involved this year too. I may still have his cell #.
Sun block and a tent this year. I should know better but was having too much fun at the speedway and the show. It will probably happen again this year anyway. LOL

Re: F-Body Beach Bash 2011
FYI, F-bodies were judged separately from other GM's last year. They'll probably do the same this year.

Re: F-Body Beach Bash 2011
Yes, Terry way involved this year. In fact Late Model Motorsports, a club he and a few other guys started, is organizing the whole thing. I was accepted into the club earlier this year. I didn't realize how much work it is. I'm not complaining, I'm glad to be a part of it. Do you like the trophies? I was put in charge of making the winner awards. Actually I volunteered for the job. Other members are making awards too. I don't have any pics of them but they are pretty cool as well. We are having a club meeting tomorrow night concerning the Beach Bash. If I get any new details I'll post ASAP.
