Hey guys, first of all, I hope I'm in the right spot, feel free to tell me to pound sand if I'm not. This past Sunday, I inherited (and I use that term loosely) what appears to be a black 90 IROC with a L98. I was told it might have a bad crank bearing. I don't know. I'd love to find out, and I'm trying to hang on to the car but my wife got her walking papers today due to downsizing thanks to Big 'Rona. I have no idea what the car is worth, I just know she'd be glad if it wasn't sitting in my yard anymore.
I apologize if the pics are stupid large, I didn't try to resize them. Not trying to sell it today, but just trying to get an idea what someone might be willing to pay for it.
It doesn't sound like a project you're willing to take on so assuming it's as rotted as it should be underneath from sitting on all that grass, I'd pull that interior out and list it for sale, then list the rest of the car for parts. That's if you want to make a bit of money off it. If you just want it sold as a whole, list it for $1000 and take the first offer above $500.
It's been parked there for about 4 years. Was a daily driver prior to that. How quickly do these cars rust out? The body seems rust free from what I can see. I'd love to take it on, but financially speaking, it'd be something I let go of if we can't turn things around.

4 years?? It looks like it's been there since day one Either way, 4 years of sitting on wet ground can take it's toll. Even if it's solid underneath, a motor swap and full paint job on a car that's been out to pasture for years isn't something that most people are willing to take on. If YOU want to bring it back to life, then obviously you can't beat free, but I doubt you'll have much buyer interest in the car as it sits.

Yeah, it's not the best spot for it. It ended up there due to the previous owner not having enough space at his new place when he moved. Told him he could leave it at my place and it's been there since. Thanks for the input.

I do have a clean title. It's still in the previous owners name though. He came by this weekend and said "here ya go"(he bought a 2010 and wanted to forget about this). Found out Monday she was being downsized. Haven't had a chance to go to the courthouse yet.
If you plan on keeping I would remove all the crap out of the cowl area. Get it off the ground. Place sheets of plywood under car then put plastic over ply wood then drive car on top of it. ply wood will suck up moisture helping to save under body. I would put dryer sheets in interior to keep mice out and put a cover over the out side. or better yet put it in barn. In the shape it sets rkeats is about right on price but being a 1990 it is a lower production car. For what you have in it keep it and play with it you can always get that money out of it down the road as prices are rising. just do everything you can to preserve it
Previous values given are spot on. $500 is probably comfortable for someone that may get $1000-1500 in parts or for the rare buyer that may do a total resto never intending to make a profit but will do it for the love of the work, or the end result if having a L98 last year black IROC
