part request: lower control arm
part request: lower control arm
Does anyone around Phoenix have any lower control arms sitting around? I'll pay $$. I think my front left arm is slightly bent and causing my car to pull.
Anyone know of a good salvage yard for 3rd gens in phoenix? north phoenix?

how about taking it somewhere and get an alignment done to it i think that should salve your problem and if it doesn't then they will be able to tell you what it is that it needs in order to get it aligned.
I took it to an alignment shop, caster was way off...cross caster was -4.71! The guy I bought it from said his wife hit a curb, who knows. I'm tryin to fix a problem I have when I brake, it pulls really hard to the left, I mean it pulls so hard that it's dangerous braking at high speeds. It drives pretty straight otherwise...even with whatever is bent making my front left tire sit .75" farther back than it's supposed to.
well I'm going to replace the hose and caliper on the left side, since I just did it to the right trying to fix the problem(which it didn't). I think it may be a sticking caliper on the side it pulls to.
Then if that doesn't do it...I guess I'll have to tear into the suspension...so the LCA and k-member are on hold for now.

Caster will sometimes cause a pull but it is usually cross camber that does it. but if the car pulls when you step on the brake's then you have a hydraulic problem or your pads are defective this is a really conmen problem with AutoZone pads and raybestos pads. a quick way to find out if it is your pads all you have to do is swap your front pads from one side to the other. if it starts to pull to the other side then you need new pads if not then you have a hydraulic problem. IF it pulls to the left then you have a problem on your left side. If something is bent replace your Spindale first that's the weakest part in the front suspension on our cars. But before you do anything just look at everything under your car and compare it with the other side and see if you can find anything out of the ordinary, something that may look bent. check to see if any chunks of rust, oil, dirt, and other crap has some how mysteriously fallen off you car if so that's where the bend is at, then replace what ever that is as well.
What about camber? And cross camber? Do you remember? Has the car been in an accident? If so how bad was it you might have bigger problems than what you think.
hope this helps, mike.
