anyone from Reno?
Is this the right board for Nevada?
I'm moving to Reno and I'm hoping to hook up with someone who can clarify the smog regs there for me.

Reno....Nevada? Im not sure if there are any...Here in Arizona there are no inspections or smog stuff needed. But in Cali there are...you need all your smog stuff...pump filters lines hoses etc.
Hope that helps...Prolly not

Cool, thanks...
None of the regional boards include Nevada on their rosters.
I'm thinking about becoming a resident of Nevada, my dad lives in Reno.
If I got a Nevada DL and registered and smogged my car there, instead if Calif where I am now, it would simplify my life in a huge way.
All I need is a little card that says I'm from somewhere else and it gets me off the hook from all the smog nonsense that they put you through in this ridiculous state.

yeah, I have to get mine done every 2 years, they aren't too strict though (in Tempe) as long as the numbers come out OK...Bruce (90RS305)

Check my sig. I failed because of the gas cap.
On my Iroc, they stand there for 5 minutes looking at my cats and AIR system because it's quite obvious it's not stock (high flow cats, titanium tubing, swagelock fittings) but I still pass. Even with the typical valve seal puff of smoke filling up the testing area.

In Arizona only 2 counties require smog test.. pima and maricopa, register out of county and hey no smog just have to pay your registration mail order once every 2 yrs..
My car is registered in Yuma county!
