heads swap
so im about to send a long block in for a rebuild and make my rs a l05... but i really want it to be vortec, the block is a 92 4 bolt main cast # 14093638 and i wanted to put some #906 vortec heads on it, will i have any problems that anyone knows of cause i dont want to get stuck with parts that wont work together....

They will work just fine.the block you have is a cop caprice L05 block.the heads will be ok.

long block rebuild? why not have them rebuild the short block if your going to change the heads?
that way you can keep some cash in your pocket for the vortec parts

i was gonna buy the used vortec and have the rebuild it all at the same time and not the heads that came on it, but i was thinking does anyone locally do any port and polishing on the side, i could probably spend less getting these port and polished and not having to pay shipping, i was just thinking about running the zz4 cam and wanted to be able to get some gains which these heads would kill for sure
