Regarding: AZ3RDGENS club sticker
Considering we all have different opinions and tastes, it would be easier just to have everyone make their own sticker. That way you can choose font, size and color, the only requirement is that it says, "AZ3RDGENS" so it represents our club and you be considered a member.

Maybe when my brother gets back in town in May we will have to hit the pavilions again. Maybe by then the vert won't be as much an embarrassment.

AZFBA still exists. Just not very active any more. A handful of us still abuse our cars regularly though. Ours did 2000 track miles in the last 2 years running around the country for pro-touring events. Most of the AZFBA activity has moved to the Facebook page from the forum though.

Pavillions happens every Saturday. Absolutely hopping on auction week (I walked through quickly this year.) Slower in the summer after some folks headed back to Montana / Alberta / etc.
I saw an LS swapped 3rd gen a few months back. Had an aftermarket hood, truc accessories. He said the CD244(?) alt. cleared just fine.

Re: Offical Club Thread for AZ3RDGENS
It seems that there is at lest 4-5 people that are somewhat active on this now. If you include me and my friend who both have third gens, we would be up for a meet. I don't do stickers though, sorry guys.
I have an 88 base 305 TBI (blue one in my pictures) and my buddy has a 91 RS 305TBI that's the nicest sounding 305 I have ever heard. He is pretty busy doing a diesel swap on his bronco right now, but I could probably pull him away for part of a day on a weekend.
I also just picked up an 87 iroc (build thread on here title project Destiny) that I'm trying to do a quick restore on. I'm hoping to have it driving by the end of March. I'm going to be selling the 88 once the iroc is good to go so depending on if we ever meet I may or may not have the 88 still.

Re: Offical Club Thread for AZ3RDGENS
i still have my 88. Got rid of my 87 iroc though. My 88 is just sitting my garage for right now. I don't drive it right now but once I finish the ac on my truck, I will probably start planning out my engine swap and get going on it this summer. I'm in north mesa area.

Re: Offical Club Thread for AZ3RDGENS
I get notifications every time anybody posts in a thread I have posted in. I just never turned that fearure off. So I see each one of you responding.haha.
my 88 is currently just sitting in my garage. I was going through a move a few months back and I recently bought a 97 f250 diesel so I have putting all my time and money into that. I have to upgrade the fuel system on it still and then I will be ready to tackle the camaro again. I was thinking of doing an LS swap, but I think now I may go with a 454 instead. I have started researching for that and have already read some things that make it seem like going with a 350 would be the better route as a 454 benefits don't significantly outweigh the negatives. So who knows, I just know the 305 is going bye bye.
I am usually working on some vehicle every week. I prefer working on my f250 right now since I prefer trucks over cars. I have some lifted dodge as well that I have to get rid of this summer to make room for more car stuff. I have a fair bit of tools accumulated so anybody in the area that is severely lacking in that department, when I'm available, I am open to lending a hand or 2.

Re: Offical Club Thread for AZ3RDGENS
if you want power, go LS. if you want torque, and lots of torque go with the BBC.
But LS will be your best bet, you can buy 4.8s all day logn for around $500. You can not make the same hp with any bbc or sbc for $500. then add a turbo, and again, youll be above 600hp at the wheels with as much money as youd have into a bbc that makes half the power.

Re: Offical Club Thread for AZ3RDGENS
I have never done an engine swap on anything. Thats why I think for my first time, I should try to stay in my own league. Granted, I have helped pulls engines as well as pull engine by myself, dropped transmission in this car countless times as well as on my f250 which has a ZF5 behind a 7.3. Done a bunch of other miscelanous work as well. My weakest area is by far electrical. I don't want to do a carb setup but I am hoping a 454 will work with little to no modification. I have seen quite a few 3rd gens the last few years for sale locally that have had 454s swapped in, and I imagine it isnt too difficult. Going with a 383 isnt out of the question either right now or even a 350.
The real swap I want to do is a 12 valve cummins in a 70's and 80's era suburban.

383 will be much easier than a big block. From a physical size standpoint it will fit much easier and allow you to reuse the accessory drive, radiator, etc. But there are parts to make a big block fit.
