Got the back brakes done. Nice new slotted rotors with a set of Hawk pads. Thumbs up to Mike P. and Truck Performance. I got a good price on the pads and quick shipping.

As for the fronts, Steve Spohn has come thru. I've ordered the carriers, adapter brackets and bolts from him. All I need now is a pair of spindles, calipers, brake lines and the proportioning valve and I'll have 1LE front brakes.

 

did you have to e-mail him for the other items besides the brackets? He doesn't list them on his page(bolts, washers, etc.).

 

Were the carriers the only item discontinued? or hard to find?

the only item discontinued was either the left or right caliper carrier.

 

The carriers are the hard to find pieces. I think that both may no longer be available thru GM.

As for the adapter brackets and bolts, I asked about them in the "comments" section of the online order form. Steve replied with an e-mail letting me know he now has the brackets and bolt kits in stock too. I followed up and let him know I want the additional parts included in my order.

I'm now waiting for Steve to confirm my order and send me a tracking number on the shipment.
